Labour's tax on jobs will cost local services in Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse £15.4 million. This is the last thing people and businesses need.
I am calling for this hike to be scrapped.
Will Labour's candidate stand up for the local community or stand up for Starmer?
NEW: The language Keir Starmer has used to describe migrant workers has 'echoes of Enoch Powell at his worst' and will make it harder for the care sector to hang on to key staff, the CEO of Scottish Care has said
This is naive, partisan and damaging. We need an #immigration system which is based on sector and national need not one motivated by party political priority. This fails #socialcare and those who need support in Scotland.
Donald Macaskill of Scottish Care signed off his interview on Radio Scotland with a four word response to Keir Starmer's neo-racist attack on migrant workers.
"This is not us."
Couldn't have put it better ourselves.
#ThisIsNotUs
Immigration is good for our economy, for our public services and for Scotland.
We need a tailored immigration system and offered solutions, but Labour seems intent on following Nigel Farage’s agenda.
It’s clear that decisions about Scotland should be made in Scotland.
The irony is that the electricity gets cheaper the further south its transmitted. English households will pay less than their Scottish counterparts for electricity generated in Scotland.
We generate electricity and partly pay the bills of consumers down south.
Ridiculous: Flynn raises energy, a reserved matter: dismissed by Starmer as SNP bad. The short straw ScotLab MP raises health, a devolved issue: Starmer gets stuck in on a matter irrelevant to Westminster. @CommonsSpeaker should stop this weekly farce. #PMQs
So @Keir_Starmer now saying they won't be changing Winter Fuel Payment at all. So that means
1. Threshold'll remain too low at £11,500
2. Means test mechanism will remain broken, with govt accepting 700,000 pensioners (its own data) on under £11,500 income won't get WFP.
Over 36,000 older people in South Lanarkshire are losing out on their Winter Fuel Payment.
This is the cost of Labour.
Scotland doesn’t need another Labour politician who will sit back and say nothing while vital support is cut for their constituents.

Labour MP says removing winter fuel and disability benefits has broken trust with the public.
She accuses Starmer of being "tone deaf" and adds to voices within the party publicly calling for a "change of plan".
BREAKING: Scottish Labour have rejected proposals to give equal support to Grangemouth oil refinery and Scunthorpe's British Steel works.
Not one Labour MSP backed a motion in Holyrood urging the UK Government to intervene
⁉️ Why should it cost more to heat a house in Blairgowrie than in Belgravia?
❌ Last week Ed Miliband all but ruled out zonal pricing which would provide Scotland with some of the cheapest energy in Europe.
🏴 It’s clear to see where labour’s priorities lie.
We all understand the implications, so let's simplify it: regional pricing is not feasible because some areas in England would end up paying more while Scotland would pay less.
The Union cannot function in this way; it is primarily designed to benefit England.
