@RealStephenKerr Mone? Harding? Sunak’s wife? Johnson? Presumably you have no constituency work to keep you busy, given the amount of tweets you send, so why are we wasting public money funding your post?
In 2015/16 the UK spent around 11% of GDP on benefits & Tax Credits (OBR). The most recent forecast for 25/26 is... around 11%.
There hasn't been a huge rise but none of the politicians can admit that. #PMQs#politicslive
Hang on- did Kemi Badenoch just say they get Sky Sports on the parliamentary tv service? I can’t afford to watch cricket any more. Why should taxpayers pay for MPs to watch Sky Sports at work? #PMQs
The people keeping Tesco's shelves stocked can't make ends meet. Their employer just made £3bn profit, that's not right, is it? 👉 Sign the petition! https://t.co/BPjw34Wvn2
@BladeoftheS@unojen_wood They were claiming for three children when the rest of England was subjected to the two child benefit cap. Always struck me as the height of hypocrisy. I remember one MP telling me at a function that as he had two children he had to claim for a 3 bed property in London.
@sjksanders@JeremyVineOn5 I haven’t had a chance to go in depth yet- hopefully at weekend. I’m going to repeat the exercise at the end of June. I might go back to April, but it certainly feels more intense recently. I hope the panelists are ashamed. Maybe the editorial team are totally devoid of ideas?
We are not imagining it. In May, @JeremyVineOn5 broadcast on 21 days. On 1 day, they discussed “should millionaires pay more tax?” On a couple of days they discussed pensions and triple lock. On 14/21 days, they discussed some aspect of benefits, usually negatively. See below.
It was great to have Marion Calder of @ForWomenScot in Holyrood this morning to meet with @ReformUKScot MSP’s.
We discussed the safety and protection of women and girls, alongside For Women Scotland’s legal work to protect women and children’s rights.
Yusuf, Farage, Tice and Goodwin have several things in common, but today I am reminded that they spout opinion as fact, and are incredibly rude whilst talking over those with whom they disagree- most noticeably, women. And BBC journalists let them. #politicslive
@lizcurran The accounts were audited every year. I don’t understand why they didn’t flag anything, or was Murrell just very clever at what he did (fwiw I think he has some sort of disorder).
@LBC@NickFerrariLBC Because they respected the father’s wishes, unlike Ferrari -who said his team were rearranging the running order - which only facilitated Farage’s racism and disrespect. No surprise there.
@christiancalgie The media don’t mention the name of perpetrators in incidents at the request of the families. Yet here the family request is VERY clear, but Farage and the media have ignored that. Complicit and disrespectful.
@mostly_sleepy@SueJonesSays I’d rather get the pension I was due at 60, and live on it, than have to endure the DWP assessments and monthly statements required for PIP and UC.
@sarahknapton I post on a fbk group which helps tourists with children who are planning visits to, or currently in, London. There are buses and boats, and people are walking. Maybe she should log on for advice from those who know the city.
