After many years of effort, deliberation, excitement, angst, joy, and Wednesday afternoon lab lunches, our group's first manuscript on cachexia, led by Venise Jan Castillon, Amy Xie, and really our whole lab https://t.co/PizrA8NyaU @NatureMedicine
What a turnout for the 3rd Annual Kyle Barlogie Meeting! 🎉 Thank you to all the speakers, attendees, and sponsors who made this year our best yet. The ideas and connections from this week will carry us forward in many directions. Looking forward to the meeting next year!

#Myeloma Paper of the Day: Efficacy & safety in CEPHEUS TIE pts (DVRd, n=144; VRd, n=145) show MRD- (10-5) 60.4% (DVRd) vs 39.3% (VRd; P=.0004); sustained MRD- ≥12 mos (47.2% v 28.3; P=.0010), ≥24 (40.3% v 22.8; P=.0015); OS favors DVRd (HR 0.66): https://t.co/sscSA4UxXp. #mmsm
Dr Holly Lee @hollyleeYJ presenting at #IMS23 updated data and novel mechanisms on TNFRSF17 mutations and resistance to anti-BCMA redirecting therapies
This is a clinical practice-changing study showing how to identify patients without GPRC5D who are therefore refractory to anti-GPRC5D therapies. The great news is that this is based on IHC ➡️easy to use in clinic. #IMS26@MSKCancerCenter@szusmani
Happening at #IMS26, MSK myeloma specialist @FrancescoMaura4 will take part in a Meet the Experts session on genomics and genetics. @Myeloma_Society

There are two key takeaways:
1) A EOMES+GZMK+ transcriptional state defines myeloma CAR T cell efficacy.
2) Viral promoter choice, rather than unique binder design, explains how CAR T cells achieve this state and cilta-cel's superior efficacy.
Are you in New York on October 7th? Wanna hear about the latest and greatest about myeloma from some of the top institutions? Come one come all. https://t.co/08otXRac1Q. #mmsm@PleXusComm
🚨 IMS 2026 crew-come find us at the annual meeting! We will be presenting 2 posters on BCMA CAR-T in myeloma you won't want to miss:
🖼️ What PET/CT lesions tell us about who progresses after CAR-T:
➡️'Lesion-Level PET/CT Analysis Identifies Anatomic and Biologic Predictors of Progression After BCMA CAR T-Cell Therapy in Relapsed / Refractory Multiple Myeloma' (PA-279)
💉 Why response to bridging therapy might predict how well CAR-T works:
➡️Radiographic Response to Bridging Therapy Is Predictive of Efficacy Post BCMA CAR T-Cell Therapy in Relapsed / Refractory Multiple Myeloma (PA-380)

Three years ago, my lab at @MSKCancerCenter set out to see if we could harness AI for new therapeutic proteins.
Today in @natBME, our first step in developing these AI-designed molecules as anti-tumor therapies is online.

Happy to be in Houston and attend for the first time #SOHO2026! Looking forward to connect with friends and colleagues and present tomorrow our data on myeloma precursor conditions MGUS and SMM. @MSKCancerCenter#mmsm
Excited to share our review @NatureRevCancer! We cover all that we, as a field, learned from our efforts to understand genotype to phenotype interactions in cancer and somatic evolution. We also cover what future measurement technologies can take us in this domain.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Robert A. Kyle, MD, founder and first president of the International Myeloma Society. Dr. Kyle’s research changed how the medical community understands multiple myeloma and the conditions that can precede it. He was also a teacher and mentor whose influence can be seen in generations of clinicians and scientists working in the field today.
From helping convene the first International Myeloma Workshop in 1987 to founding IMS and serving as its first president, Dr. Kyle believed that progress depended on experts working together across borders, with patients always at the center. That commitment to science, collaboration and patient care remains at the heart of IMS. We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Kyle’s family, friends, colleagues and the many patients whose lives he touched. https://t.co/pZFTs9g9iI
Big paper alert! This project has been years in the making. A comprehensive description of somatic mutation rates and signatures across 53 tissues or cell types using NanoSeq. A large collective effort led by Mimy Pham, Mike Stratton and Raheleh Rahbari. https://t.co/qAPaVRKqW0
