Most athletic programs are sitting on unused space.
Locker rooms
Stadium fencing
Dugouts
Hallways
All opportunities to build culture, recognition, and even generate sponsor revenue.
Question I've been wrestling with this week:
Does growth eventually punish the very behaviors that created it?
In the beginning, doing everything is often a competitive advantage.
Later, that same behavior may become the thing holding you back.
Have you seen this happen?
Spent a few days wondering if my content was off track.
Then realized it's the same question everywhere. How does an athlete get better. A team. A business. A person.
Different rooms, same question.
Just learned a major college athletics equipment managers conference happened across the river from us in Cincinnati.
We didn't even know about it.
Growth isn't always about the next sales call. Sometimes it's just about knowing where your industry gathers.
After talking with 250+ college athletic programs, one thing stands out:
The smoothest-running programs aren't always the ones with the most resources.
They're usually the ones with the clearest processes.
Athletics and business have a lot in common.
The person who values a project isn't always the person who approves a project.
Understanding organizational structure is often more important than delivering the perfect pitch.
That's true in athletics and in business.
THANK YOU, Myles Colvin for stopping in and trusting us to handle your jerseys!! These frames turned out GREAT!!
Let us handle your next framing or graphic project!
One thing I've learned from talking with college athletic programs:
There is no standard process for athlete recognition.
Different people.
Different budgets.
Different priorities.
More conversations have shown me understanding the process matters more than the solution.
My son focused on his left foot.
My wife focused on communication and vision.
I focused on development.
Funny how three people can watch the same season and see three different things.

It's always cool seeing a project go from conversation to installation.
Helping local businesses improve their visibility never gets old.
Nice work by the team on this one.
I asked my wife when our son really grew this season.
She didn't point to a game.
She didn't point to a goal.
She said it happened gradually.
That's probably how most development works.

"Doesn't every kid that plays soccer want to go professional?"
My son's question after our season ended became this week's Athlete Journey article.
It's really about development, dreams, and navigating youth sports as a parent.

Details matter inside athletic facilities.
Branding, graphics, and recognition pieces help shape the experience for athletes, fans, recruits, and sponsors.
Proud to contribute to projects connected with Prasco Park and the Big East.

At this age, youth sports teaches more than the game itself.
Confidence. Pressure. Communication. Emotional control. Resilience.
A lot of growth happens beyond the scoreboard.
