What Malfoid is doing, however, is that it's reawakening the passion within people. To think that it's just about Harry Potter is missing the point of why Malfoid works.

It's gotten creative people who have either given up or forced to go on haitus to pick up their tools again and create.

It's gotten men and women alike to recognise that they still want family, children, to build a home and be happy, and that they're not alone.

It's gotten people to realise that the forces that have been leading them down the road of nihilism are those on the left who want to strip all meaning and goodness from the world to further their own degeneracy.

Malfoid is encouraging people to look within themselves and to fill an empty cold hole that was there before with warmth, hope, yearning for a better tomorrow.

I've seen people who have said that they were in a really bad place in their life, thinking there was no hope for the future, they were the living dead... but now, they're able to get through the day because Malfoid got them to feel something again.

My opening post isn't about Malfoid replacing Draco Malfoy, it's about replacing that sense of nihilism people had felt over the last couple of decades because of the left's influence with something that makes them want to live and thrive again.

That's why people who come in here and understand the joke react so positively to it, because there is a subtext we all understand but need not say.

(Because if we had to explain, we'd write paragraphs of text trying to explain it to someone who doesn't seem to understand as I have done right now.)

You need to understand how Right-wing people under 40 view the Left.

When we think of Leftists, we do not think of Barack Obama or Ezra Klein. Yes, these guys are on the Left, but younger Millennials and Zoomers on the Right do not think of Leftists in their own age bracket as polished technocrats.

These are not the sort of people that make up our Left-wing counterparts that we grew up with, went to school with, or work with.

When we think of Leftists, the first thing that pops into our head are a bunch of disgusting, depraved, spiteful mutants who want to destroy everything around them as payback for the crime of being born.

We think of Discord troons that invaded our hobbies, Reddit mods who are drunk on the most insignificant power imaginable, that one girl from high school or college who became a literal Communist, and that friend or family member who cut off all contact because we refused to treat their mental illness like a status symbol.

We think of people who, if they ever became a majority of the country and actually managed to possess political power, would inevitably kill tens of millions of people out of blind envy and petty cruelty.

Younger people on the Right come across as impatient and anxious in their mindset and mannerisms because they understand what will eventually happen when these people succeed their Gen X and Boomer predecessors in the Democratic Party.

They know what is to come if their own generational cohorts on the Left actually take power, and they feel incredibly exasperated that it seems like none of their parents or grandparents understand just how late the hour truly is.

The Malfoid trend has me writing and creating more than I have in years.

Got two manga comic ideas cooking: one continuing the Martin & Katie Luther stuff, and another that’s just father-son slice-of-life comedy.

Also two books in the works—one sci-fi action, and one fantasy with original characters and setting (heavily inspired by the Malfoid stuff and the HP fanfics I’ve been reading, but with my own spin).

Everyone should be making more. The world could use it.
