The European Investment Bank (@EIB) and @StanbicBankZW have announced a $21m credit facility to provide long-term financing to Zimbabwean SMEs.

The facility will target businesses led by women, those employing a significant number of women, or those offering services tailored to women.

In 2022, the EIB resumed lending to Zimbabwean banks, breaking a 22-year hiatus. Since then, the bank has rolled out credit facilities with institutions such as CABS and First Capital Bank.

The EIB is the lending arm of the EU @euinzim.
