Since working with visual content - my own art works - I prefere @instagram as a social media platform.

When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.
The 2025 German election saw predictable losses for the coalition parties, gains for the right, and — crucially — a surprise victory for the Left. More on the breakdown of the vote and what it means for the future in our election-night analysis: https://t.co/91fdgzob22

“The fact that this tiny country of only 42,000 sq km, of which only 60% is habitable, with a population of fewer than 10 million, is such a powerful offshore centre – that 27% of the world’s offshore fortunes are managed in or from #Switzerland”

When I read tenders in which I have to prove that I’m only a fully-fledged artist if I can make a living from art, it just makes me angry. The people who set these rules usually don’t have the faintest idea what it means to make a living as a freelance artist.
The art world is a classic market failure: a few highly acclaimed players are easily making large amounts of money, while most people are scraping along at subsistence level.

„The art dealer is alleged to have funnelled €500,000 in proceeds from drug dealing into the purchase of an important lithograph by the artist Bansky which depicts the mural ‚The Flower Thrower’ painted by the artist in Jerusalem on the wall between Israelis and Palestinians.“

Good news concerning my #studio - my lease has been extended for another year. This gives me continuity for my creative work. Whatever happens, my space is open to me and my ideas. Here I can continue experimenting and letting off steam. And I don't owe anyone anything.
Lebensjahr wendet. https://t.co/NKsdKe2FMY
@ProfRGWilkinson@ProfKEPickett We need to change society now, but it'll be a long process. As well as urgent action now, in the medium term, we need to start changing the structures of our society to focus on wellbeing, start community wealth-building, and tax toxic wealth accumulation.
