@itvcycling umm, any reason for swapping the order of the pundits lineup? Used to be Gary on the left...assumed he was giving the viewers his best side!
@Lucy_cat_lady @Libmoggy As an elderly social media/mobile user even so I can understand your mum's resistance. Several TV programmes recently have been focussed on scammers who contact elderly people posing as their bank etc. Here in France lots of stores don't do paper receipts ...unless you ask. I do
@_Enanem_ Before we retired to the french village we live in we created nicknames as the French are notorious for friendly chatting but not introducing themselves. After twenty years of living here we still use them as a code to ourselves! #sadfarmer#miseryguts
@DrHoenderkamp Interesting. Here in the french countryside our cinemas don't have food for sale. You get the occasional noisy sweet paper. I've been to cartoons for kids (Wallace and Gromit, Tintin) and the children were generally well behaved. As I said, interesting.
@TimMcKenna01 You cry! This might not come again. The last couple of years my husband and myself have realised certain adventures are no longer possible for us. So thank goodness for the memories and experiences we have been able to make and share. Live in the moment 🥰
@nedboulting Did you read it in French? If you can, try 'Hotel du Nord' Eugene Dabit. I got a copy after we stayed near the celebrated restaurant of the same name recently. The book is based on the characters living in it, an easy read set in the 20s and reminded me of a lighter Zola.
@neverstraysfar loved the latest pod. Used to work just off the Strand many years ago so could visualise exactly where you were. Full of random facts too. Brilliant. Thank you.
@TimMcKenna01 We live about 2 and a half hours from Toulouse so need a car to visit (train logistics impractical) so our first visit in three years was a nightmare. Second visit we'd sussed the carparks and bus connections! 😊
