@MattJamesBoyle@sugamadhiakri Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. For me understanding data structures and when and how to use them is the easy part. The hard part is figuring out the algorithm you will never figure out unless you spend hours thinking about it or have seen something similar before
@MattJamesBoyle@sugamadhiakri I disagree. Leetcode is all about about practice in that specific domain. How you communicate and go about solving it are good signals which is why I believe they are used in interviews. But Leetcode problems themselves have little to do with professional experience.
At big companies, it's easy to sometimes feel that what we do does not matter. But constantly making little improvements and moving the ball forward can be more impactful than taking giant leaps. Value is generated in time, not all at once.
@MattJamesBoyle It's s highly dependent on company culture. Paying for out of office work seems the fair way. Where I work, it comes with the job, so you don't get compensated.
