@HainingMax I previously applied but wasn't able to finish so wanted to start fresh on October 1. Unfortunately, I've had no luck re-registering despite using 2 other different emails.
I emailed about this earlier but didn't get a reply. Where's the best place to get support?
Lurker =/= not a real community member
Yes, they’re hard to get a hold of because they don’t engage like other members but they can be some of your most loyal community members.
Never discount the power of lurkers or their potential to contribute to your community.
I'm currently leading an exciting experiment 🧪
For the night class I teach locally once a week, we've just entered phase 2 of the program.
This means that from our original group of 100 people, whom I taught 8 different no-code tools over 8 weeks, we are now down to 30 students.
This phase is designed to teach individuals how to become professional no-code developers.
The challenge now is to take them from 0 to professional in 4 months using Bubble.
They will begin with all of my courses on @NoCodeAlliance, starting with the beginner course, which will occupy the first two months.
Then, they'll spend the last two months going through all of my professional courses and taking the exams for each.
At the end of the 4 months, they will then take Bubble’s certification exam and, hopefully, pass it as well.
If successful, this group of 30 students will be ready to start earning $75+ per hour as professional developers using @bubble.
Even better, my city is sponsoring all of this, so the program (including certification costs) is free for the students.
So, the question is: Will my Zero to Pro bundle of @bubble courses successfully take 30 people from 0 to professional in 4 months, or not?
One way or another, we're about to find out 😉🚀
@JJEnglert That’s such a cool initiative! Was it something your city asked you to do or did you bring the initiative to the city and they decided to sponsor from there?
I’d love to see something similar happen here in Sydney if it isn’t already happening 😲
@yuszela I don’t have any off the top of my head from the testimonial side of things but I know that the Todoist community is active on Reddit with plenty of people offering advice, templates, etc. and helping convince people to switch.
@yuszela It probably doesn’t even need to be covert 🤔 Brand presence in spaces, even if only through their nano and micro advocates receives warmer welcomes than people perceived to be “shills”.
Genuine advocacy is always good to see.
@zbem Thanks! What makes you say that certification is a game changer?
At my current stage, I wasn't aware that there were certifications nor that they were widely recognised 🤔
Is it because it's something clients want to see up front when selecting who to work with?
@nocodebobos @zerocodercom@nocodethisweek Yeah, both are targeted growth channels for both businesses rather than their main bread and butter 🤔
Do you reckon there would be enough news /and/ demand to make a news site worthwhile? I can see news would need to be supplemented with some blogs/opinion/listicles.
@kensavage@bubble To add to the repeating groups suggestion: you could also create a testimonial submission page that adds directly to your DB?
Make sure they don’t auto-publish to your testimonial page of course: you could get spam showing unintentionally.
@LeeLaunches Thanks! I'm glad I had already been setting up all the elements on the app in row and columns layouts from the beginning 😅
It made it very easy to make the app mobile responsive down the line too.
Day 97 of #100DaysOfNoCode
I'm a couple of years late to finishing this course so obvs API changes have come in since then. But, I found a workaround!
Used AddtoAnyShare plugin by Bubble to accomplish a similar functionality.
Thanks to @leelaunches
Of course, I removed some of the visual elements and functionalities as they're no longer required.
This workaround means skipping the API setup early in the mini-course too.
