🥾PRIVACY BOOTCAMP🥾
Join @solangegueiros, @frank_chainlink & @darbease on Sep 1-2 to learn about building confidential workflows in CRE. You'll learn how to build Automated Liquidation Protection and AI Smart Contract Audit Firewall workflows in a private but verifiable manner.
Great prep for the upcoming @ETHGlobal ETHOnline2026 hackathon, where we're sponsoring a prize for the best confidential workflows built using CRE 🥇
Glad to see all the hard work that Chainlink has put into generating real security is being recognized as valuable by more and more teams in our industry. It seems that focusing on making the secure and reliable solution is what wins in an industry where securing value is a key feature of everyone's product.
We have seen the trend of low quality data oracles with poor security being switched out for Chainlink for many years now, with that trend continuing on a regular basis; https://t.co/LOcbYNfqnz
We are also now seeing the same dynamic in cross-chain connectivity/bridging, where providing security with actual decentralization, actual monitoring and actual private key security is increasingly valuable to both protocol teams and the users of their products.
It is much easier and often faster to cut corners and run a single node and call it a decentralized bridge, have no monitoring on those bridges and keep the extra profits from cutting these key security and reliability features, but that comes at the expense of your users systems going down e.g. due to one AWS zone outage, or your bridges getting hacked with one set of admin keys.
Chainlink's thesis as a technology, standard and community is to not cut these corners, but do what we can to raise the standards of our industry and provide reliable on-chain data, reliable cross-chain interoperability and now reliable off-chain to on-chain orchestration across all smart contracts on all chains.
🚨UPDATE: KELP DAO DROPS LAYERZERO FOR CHAINLINK AFTER $292M EXPLOIT
Kelp DAO is migrating its cross-chain infrastructure from LayerZero to Chainlink following April’s $292 million rsETH bridge exploit tied to a single-verifier LayerZero configuration. The move makes Kelp DAO the first major protocol to abandon LayerZero after the incident.
Kelp will adopt Chainlink’s CCIP and Cross-Chain Token standard, which rely on at least 16 independent node operators to validate transactions, directly addressing the 1-of-1 verifier setup widely blamed for the exploit.
Kelp noted nearly 47% of LayerZero apps were using the same default configuration at the time of the attack.
chainlink ($LINK) SVR sent $11m to aave's treasury in 14 months by auctioning off liquidation priority that searchers used to extract for free. 99% market share in a revenue category that didn't exist 18 months ago. pyth has no equivalent. redstone has no equivalent. the auction needs searcher liquidity to function and searchers already built around chainlink infrastructure. competitors face a cold start problem they can't solve without 80% oracle market share they don't have. aave governance voted for this because it's pure income with zero downside. $17m total recaptured is small against a $6.9b mcap today but SVR scales linearly with liquidation volume. when DeFi TVL triples from here the math gets very different and the lock-in is already complete
Introducing aWETH Redemption Protocol
With ETH utilization at 100% on Aave, many lenders are currently unable to withdraw and face increasing risk if markets move.
aWETH Redemption Protocol allows ETH lenders to:
• Exit into wstETH or weETH
• Regain immediate liquidity
• Reduce exposure to liquidation risk
If you’re just lending ETH — you can fully exit.
If you have ETH collateral and another debt — your collateral is seamlessly swapped into wstETH or weETH while your debt remains the same.
We’re working alongside @LidoFinance , @ether_fi, @0xProject, @1inch,
@KyberNetwork, and other ecosystem partners to:
• Reduce systemic risk in DeFi
• Ease utilization pressure
• Support a healthier DeFi market
Our goal is simple: protect users while reinforcing the foundations of DeFi.
Capacity is initially limited to $1B in ETH.

I hosted a private virtual roundtable with a select group of S-tier DevRel leaders to discuss the future of DevRel in an AI driven, post-hype market.
📌TLDR: DevRel isn’t dead, but is evolving
What we think:
- AI is increasing the number of builders, but changing who those builders are.
- The persona is widening from devs to non-technical builders + agents.
- Education still matters to some degree, but it’s moving up the stack: less 'how to code' more architecture, design, use cases, and decision-making.
- Docs now matter not just for humans, but primarily for LLMs and agents (and this is why things like skill files are popular rn)
- There is still value in DevRel providing clear direction of what can be built from all these toolsets (ie, DevRel as the chef, skills as the recipes)
- The role is somewhat shifting away from community/content to more technical, B2B-facing roles (solutions engineering, DevX, customer success) tied to real adoption and revenue
- Keeping up with new tools is hard, but important to maintain dev empathy (CT is still a strong signal source)
