Yesterday and today I delivered the 2-day @AviAssist #humanfactors in #aviation course, perfectly hosted by Landover Aviation Business School. A new milestone in the expanding work of AviAssist as it was the first course in Nigeria.
Last week, as @AviAssist volunteer trainer, I was able to contribute to #AviationSafety on the African continent by delivering 2 #humanfactors in aviation courses to professionals from @KenyaAirways and @FlyJambojet in Nairobi. I also gave a presentation at the @aeroclubea.
Hope you never have to say " I could have saved a life that day, but looked the other way".
Speak up, may be you are the only chance to save that life. #Humanfactorcourse
This week I completed two “Human Factors in Aviation” courses on behalf of @AviAssist. In Kigali as well as in Nairobi I had the pleasure to work with a very nice group of enthusiastic student, a.k.a. Safety cheetahs. Great to be able to contribute to African #aviation#safety
Waiting to see the answer to this equation...

2019 is almost done. A unique year where we (me, my Projectteam and the 24 colleagues involved) succeeded in delivering a completely new, competent, multinational and enthusiastic #airtrafficcontrol TWR team for #lelystadairport. All the best for them for 2020 !!
Smiling faces after two days of #aviassist human factors course at venue AMREF University in Nairobi. Great participants, lovely venue and interesting #aviationsafety discussions
Today the Lelystad TWR crew started their operational work at Lelystad Airport. A good start that also means the end of my project (deliver a competent TWR crew). Proud to have achieved that result in exactly one year with my project team and the crew members involved.
After some succesfull (delivering Human Factors course on behalf of #Aviassist) and interesting (Aviation Africa ) days in Kigali we (my son Joost and I) started our 7-day trip through beautiful #Rwanda.
And what can be better than starting with a nice beer (#Leffeblond)
This week the new #AirTrafficControl team for #LelystadAirport finally got together and spent 7 days on the especially developed team- and culture program. Great to experience a new culture being born with the superbe mindset “fully aware together ahead”.
This evening - during the EZVN gala-evening - I saw my colleague Nuvit Kibaroglu-Adiguzel winning the Manager of the Year Award of the Etnic Business Women. Great news and congrats for her. Let her be a rolemodel for many other women! #EZVN
This morning my first performance as “guest lecturer” @UtrechtUni, giving a lecture on AirTrafficControl and Human Performance in complex systems. Thanks you, @StellaDonker, for inviting me.
Ready to take off. On my way to Uganda, where I will be instructor of the 2nd Aviation Leadership Development Course. Thanks @AviAssist @KLM#EastAfricanCivilAviationFlight Academy #Soroti
@CyrilNdegeya@Allan_Nziza@RwandaAirports @AviAssist @qatarairways I only make firm statements about Human performance either after a good analysis of the event and the circumstances or when I feel I have enough expertise to do a best guess 😉. So in this case......I say nothing 😄
Finally, one year after I got the idea and inspiration, I finished my painting. The largest one so far, being 120x180 cm.
And to be honest.....I think Mr #NelsonMandela would have been proud as well 😄
