Grass fire near Dahlberg Rd and Lake Gulch Rd. Approximately 5 acre fire in light flashy fuels. Updates to follow.

Crews are approximating 90% containment. This does not mean the fire is out. It means crews have created a solid defense line around 90% of the fire.

Firefighters from multiple departments are working a residential structure fire on Empire Dr in Franktown. Crews are in defensive mode keeping the fire from moving into the heavy timber. No reports of injuries. Updates to follow.

4:03 pm. Crews will continue to be on scene ensuring all hot spots are fully extinguished. There is no threat to the community. Fortunately, the family was able to safely evacuate. No injuries were reported.

Crews are ensuring all hot spots are cooled after a fully-involved garage fire this morning on Deerpath Road. Due to concerns related to heat, smoke, & collapsed attic space, crews transitioned to defensive operations. No threat to neighboring homes.

We are deeply saddened to report that five people lost their lives in this tragic crash. Out of respect for the families,no images will be shared. Our thoughts are with all those affected. Please take care on the road-wear your seatbelt, drive safely & hold your loved ones close

Franktown has two complex motor vehicle crashes. Please avoid the area of Hwy 83 near South Russelville and Hwy 83 near Hwy 86. Highway lanes are closed in these areas and will be for an extended amount of time.

The incident on Hwy 86, west of Hwy 83, has been cleared. The other motor vehicle incident near S. Russellville Road is ongoing. Please expect an extended highway closure and avoid the area.
