I see my role as supporting adult social work to deliver our ambition for high quality care and ensure we listen to those with lived experience and represent the profession on various national platforms.I will engage positively with fellow tweeters so long as they respond in kind
My last day with the amazing Principal Social Workers @AdultPSWNetwork … thanks so much for all your support ! Here’s to the future of social work and social care

I’m running out of words to describe my astonishment. Just over 3 weeks after #MahsaAmini’s death, women are defiantly walking on the streets of #Tehran, with no hijab…while cars are honking in their supports. Mahsa couldn’t have imagined how she changed life for many Iranians.
Community led support in action has meant I’ve survived this week when mum and dad in crisis. I’ve brought together Neighbours, friends , family all rallying round to support me and my mum and dad. Real friends , real connections and a great care agency. Forever grateful ❤️
Three years ago, Beth was locked in a seclusion cell. Clinicians then were recommending she went to Rampton
Today we went out shopping together, then she cooked me an amazing chicken curry
The right care, in the right environment, by amazing staff with humanity & right support.
This is a legacy indeed. Mainly down to @Mwharvey when we shared the CSW role. He was determined to set up the right framework, and there were a lot of doubters as to whether it would get funded. You did it Mark. Congratulations!
Funny how when you become a carer to your parents everything you learnt as a professional goes out the window! We have a long way to go keeping it real!! I’ve always admired what family carers do. im now in absolute awe of them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
