Only time will tell what the true performance, or rather cost efficiency, of the re-published #Fable5 model really is.

But this statement: "We’re scaling up our collaboration with the US government on model testing and safeguards. This will include pre-release access to models and safeguards for evaluation, information sharing on jailbreaks and misuse, and dedicated resources for joint research." is unequivocally bad news from @AnthropicAI.

It confirms that @DarioAmodei is willing to make dramatic concessions for the sake of his success. When will this approach start to threaten the very thing so often invoked until now - the safety and #privacy of the product's users and their data?

Claude Fable 5 will be available again globally tomorrow.

After a series of productive conversations with the US government, we're redeploying the model with a new set of classifiers to target and block more cybersecurity tasks. In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8. We’ll continue to refine these classifiers over the coming weeks to reduce false positives and better distinguish genuine misuse from legitimate requests.

We’ve also begun drafting a consensus framework—with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners—for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and how AI developers should respond to them. We invite other industry partners and model providers to join us in this effort.

Private property doesn't exist in a communist country - not even when the party and the government officially allow it.

This is just the first step toward future nationalization, state-organized theft. Until the regime falls completely, nothing fundamental will change.

Mining, chain immutability, and monetary policy aren't three separate things. They fall out of one equation.

Find a nonce c such that the hash of the new block built from the previous hash h_i, the nonce c, and the current block reward, is less than the target T.

🟠 Proof-of-work as a search for a nonce

The hash must be below the target. But because the hash output is unpredictable, the only way is brute force - trying c after c until the result drops below T.

🟧 Block chaining as the origin of immutability
(h_i → h_{i+1})

The previous block's hash (h_i) feeds into the hash of the new block. That cryptographically binds every block to its predecessor. Altering an old block would break every block that follows.

The initial miner reward was 50 BTC. The halving, its exponential halving, occurs every 210,000 blocks. Around year 2140 the reward drops below an indivisible satoshi and no new bitcoins are created. The ultimate cap is 21 million.

Buďme rádi, že tahle mezinárodní ostuda trvala jen tři zápasy!

Je sice faktem, že aktuálně nemá ČR tak kvalitní fotbalisty jako před 30 lety. Zároveň je ovšem pravda i to, že dost hráčů, kteří se představili v národním dresu @ceskarepre_cz během kvalifikace i závěrečného turnaje, patří k našemu (pod)průměru.

Jednoznační vyníci, s nimiž je nutné okamžitě zúčtovat: manažer Pavel Nedvěd a hlavní trenér Miroslav Koubek.
