Last week in QR, we collected data to analyze with Flinging Frogs. Congrats to these groups for flinging frogs about 70 feet! 🐸 No real frogs were hurt in this lesson. #OhioMMR
Shout out to my students for helping me to stay in shape - enough to crawl across the finish of a half marathon 😜. My training consisted of running with @franzmath and the warm ups with my classes.
Congratulations to Michaela Hahn Burriss on your induction to the Riverside High School Hall of Fame! I’m so happy that one of Lake County’s best swimmers can now call herself a Hall of Famer!🖤💛🏊♂️@Riverside_athl
Just finished day 1 of Room Remodel presentations in QR. For this being their first time ever presenting in a math class, it went well. Plenty of creativity and they made it fun. Since one class meets in a Spanish classroom they got to plan for a Spanish classroom.
In Quantitative Reasoning we started our year by showing our collaboration skills and creativity in the marshmallow challenge. I’m looking forward to working with this group!
I was fortunate to run into one of my Quantitative Reasoning students today. His excitement for the class made my day. Connor, I’m excited to be a part of your Senior year. It’s going to be amazing!
Congratulations to Elizabeth Goodge and Katie Terman for receiving the Franklin B. Walter Outstanding Educator Award.
This award is given to a staff member who makes extraordinary contributions to the education of students with disabilities.

Congratulations to these students in the Top 10% of the class of 2023.
They were asked to chose an adult who was most influential in their academic success.
It was a great night celebrating both the students and the staff. @RLSD_CCR @RLSD_Beavers
I promised my QR students that we would redo the Barbie Bungee when the weather was better. It was a good idea to revisit regression. We had a fun time and Barbie survived most of the drops.
Today in Quantitative Reasoning, the students are having fun learning about the unit circle. Fun and Unit Circle don’t always end up in the same sentence, so this is a big win!
