@MechiArruab @Tatlermagazine They were allowed to keep the titles only after the monarchy was abolished. They had no right to rule and were not supported by the government anymore, but were allowed to use the title they inherited and could pass it down to future generations.

@notcapnamerica In SC there is a similar amendment to vote on. The ONLY difference in the current law already on the books is this new one changes the wording slightly from “every US citizen” to “only US citizens.” Seems unnecessary, so I’m voting no.
