fre:ac 1.1.7 is now available introducing an output splitting tool, support for dithering, a matrix surround decoder and other new features and improvements. Of course it also comes with the usual codec updates and bug fixes. https://t.co/e5Fq5Ks1N5
@FLynch2020 HDCDs are still limited to 44.1 kHz though, so your 24 bit, 96 kHz disc probably isn't one of those. In that case, the HDCD decoder will have no effect.
@FLynch2020 HDCDs also contain 16 bit, 44.1 kHz samples, but with information for an HDCD decoder encoded in the lowest bits. The HDCD decoder uses these to apply filters and outputs 24 bit samples (with 20 significant bits). You can enable HDCD decoding in fre:ac's processing settings.
@PampyMusic Never heard of .wav files encoded with Vorbis, so those are not supported. But you can send one of the files to [email protected] and we'll have a look at it.
@kuroyukihime_ Your CD is a different one than the one in the database. Your disc has 11 tracks. The one in the database has only 10. That's why it's not found.
Really please to share this with the world.
This is a short collaborative piece I have been working on with a musician in Florida, USA
Using voice recorder, Digitech RP360XP, fre:ac and Audacity to create the audio and video editor.

@Gary_P_Jackson Make sure you connect the USB drive before starting fre:ac. Also, try using the second toolbar button (the one that resembles a CD) instead of .cda files to add the tracks to the joblist. If that button is not there, it means fre:ac didn't recognize your drive.
fre:ac 1.1.6 is now available adding native support ARM64 based Windows systems, more tagging improvements and the usual codec updates and bug fixes. https://t.co/e5Fq5Ks1N5
fre:ac 1.1.6 will officially support Windows on ARM64, bringing great performance improvements to everyone using fre:ac on Windows ARM64 devices like the @Surface Pro X. Continuous builds are already available: https://t.co/tjHj74zw4r
fre:ac 1.1.5 is now available with support for #AccurateRip and further improved tagging support. As always, the update comes with codec and translation updates as well as a number of bug fixes too. https://t.co/e5Fq5Ks1N5
fre:ac is now available in the ๐ญ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ๐ด๐ต branch of the FreeBSD ports tree, so users can install it simply by running ๐ฝ๐ธ๐ด ๐ถ๐ป๐๐๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐ณ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฐ. Thanks go to @danfe of the FreeBSD project for adding the port!
fre:ac continuous builds now support AccurateRip verification of CD rips. This compares a check sum of your ripping result to see if it matches other people's results for the same disc. A positive match indicates a perfect rip. ๐ Try it here: https://t.co/v5mSa9C1iU
A shout-out to the one who sent 0.2 ETH and 15 $YAXIS token to our Ethereum address. You're fantastic! ๐ป๐ This is the biggest donation the fre:ac project received so far. It will be put towards tech upgrades and part of it will be donated to upstream projects fre:ac depends on.
