A ₹10 item outside suddenly becomes ₹20 onboard. Why this huge price difference?

Passengers are forced to pay higher prices for products whose quality they can’t even trust. How is this fair in a public transport system meant for millions of Indians?
Is there any monitoring mechanism in place? If yes, why is this still happening so openly across trains?

Another concern: why are passengers being sold unknown or random brands instead of the standard, trusted brands available in local markets?
