One of the most curious contradictions in modern geopolitics is the assumption that history matters when explaining the success of nations, but suddenly becomes irrelevant when explaining the inequality between them.
Speaking before the International Movement for the Freedom of Nations, I reiterated Africa’s firm stance on reparatory justice. What was deliberately constructed over centuries cannot be corrected by silence.
President Mahama has placed Ghana at the forefront of this cause, and rightly so. On this matter, Ghana and Africa speaks with one voice.

To every Ghanaian pressing on this week: what you are doing matters.
These past weeks have not been kind. Homes, livelihoods, and hard-earned progress were lost, and families across this country are picking up and starting again with a courage that deserves more than admiration.
To everyone rebuilding: I stand with you. Your recovery is not yours to carry alone, and the same consistency that holds this nation together will carry you through this too.
Ghana works because Ghanaians do.
On Saturday, the whole of Ghana stands behind eleven of our own. Colombia will be no easy test, but the Black Stars have carried our hopes this far on heart and belief, and that does not run out now. Whatever the ninety minutes bring, they go out there carrying a nation that is proud of them. Go Black Stars. 🇬🇭 #BlackStars #JAN
There is a distinct, timeless beauty in mastery. My deep admiration for the fugu weavers of Northern Ghana stems from a lifelong respect for their craft. Watching an artisan rhythmically work a narrow treadle loom, transforming raw cotton into flawless, interlocking strips of batakari, is like watching history being written in thread.
Every careful stitch holds centuries of identity, resilience, and pride. It is a thorough, clean devotion to excellent execution, the kind of quiet craftsmanship that truly holds the world together.

We started with a win. Tonight, we go for another.
All the best to our Black Stars as they take on England this evening. Carry that same fire, that same fight, and make the nation proud.
The whole of Ghana is behind you. Let’s go! 🇬🇭

A Nation that does not honour its heroes is not worth dying for so it’s also true that any organization that does not honour its heroes is also not equally worth dying for.

Today, we paused as a party and a family to honour the man who gave us our beginning. Together with H.E. @JDMahama , Council of Elders, comrades, and party faithful, we commemorated the life and legacy of our founder, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings, by renaming our National Headquarters in his honour and unveiling a bust in his memory.
For many of us who have dedicated the better part of our lives to this party, the moment was deeply personal. We remembered the man, his conviction, and the Ghana he believed was possible; a Ghana built on probity, accountability, and the dignity of the ordinary person.
He gave himself fully to a cause greater than himself, and he asked the same of all who walked with him. That is the true measure of the man we honoured today.
Ultimately, his legacy is not kept alive merely by a name on a building or bronze in a courtyard. It lives in the ideals we uphold, the discipline we maintain, and the service we render to the people of Ghana every single day.
That is the tribute that matters, and that is the one we must keep paying.

Fatherhood has taught me that presence matters just as much as provision.
As a father, I have learned that the moments we spend with our children, the values we pass on, and the support we offer along the way often leave the deepest and most lasting impact on their lives.
Today, I celebrate all fathers, grandfathers, guardians, and mentors who give of themselves through their guidance, sacrifice, and unwavering support.
Happy Father's Day.
Fatherhood is not just a title; it is a commitment to nurture, protect, and lead by example.
As we approach Father's Day tomorrow, my heart goes out to every father, uncle, teacher, and mentor guiding our youth. Your impact shapes the very fabric of our society. We celebrate you today and every day.
