A sunny morning on Hampton Park in North Littlehampton, where many residents are experiencing common issues on estates still being built out of infrastructure not appearing until later in the scheme. Great to be joined by the managing agents to help clarify responsibilities.
A rainbow across the sky at Kingley Gate in Littlehampton seen at the start of canvassing for May's local elections this evening. Lots of people happy to just be heard and acknowledged 🗳️
@BBCSussex Any reason that you're choosing to ignore the West Sussex beaches, including Bognor, Littlehampton and Selsey that also received blue flags? You seem to only mention the East Sussex ones?
@DerrickChester1 It's nights like this I thank my lucky stars 40 more people didn't vote for me in 2019! The things they could actually have been debating that people would actually notice and care about!
Rewarding last two days with the pop-up COVID-19 vaccination site at @Morrisons Littlehampton. Thank you to the @Morrisons team: amazing people supporting the vaccination team including when abused by antivaxer #ThankYou @WestSussexCCG @EastSussexCCG@NHSBrightonHove @Sussex_HCP
@DerrickChester1 Also need to address now absence of a walk in centre in Chichester. Convinced two people I know who hadn’t been jabbed to get it last week, drove all the way over to be told walk ins no longer available. Told to phone 119, who said to go to the Chichester walk in centre.
@DerrickChester1 Anecdotally from people who I know who've worked there, I fear it is. People just one day being told they won't be offered any further hours. Almost entirely zero hour contracts so no recourse to appeal etc.
Following a long running saga, progress appears to be imminent on housing development on Land South of The Littlehampton Academy and north of Rosemead Open Space. Pre application public consultation available here: https://t.co/N9WudJXmWJ
@DerrickChester1 Well quite. Arun are sending a leaflet to every household next week about new polling stations - wouldn't take much to put a postal vote form in with each one and a freepost reply envelope.
Arun District Council have announced that May's mega set of local elections will take place with just 5 polling stations serving Littlehampton - one of which is in Rustington, instead of the usual 11. Presumably hoping for significant increase in postal voting.
The West #Sussex Tory cuts keep on coming – now it’s the Sure Start children and family centres that help local families so much across the county.
32 out of the 43 @WSCCNews centres are earmarked for closure. @WSLabour will fight these devastating cuts!

Latest coronavirus figures show infection rates are now FALLING in every part of Sussex - with big drops in #Worthing, #Arun, #Adur and #Brighton

Watching Arun District Council meeting... Fair to say on tonight's showing, I'm pleased I didn't get elected last May because this is embarrassing. Three hours in and nothing of substance to support and improve the district has even been hinted at. Actually quite disheartening.
Confirmation now officially published that vacancy for Councillor in Wickbourne ward on Littlehampton Town Council will be filled through a by-election, currently scheduled for May 2021.
Watching Littlehampton Regeneration Committee and I feel like I’m watching an episode of Twenty Twelve or W1A with some of the corporate phrases - ‘punctuation points’ ‘pedestrian desire lines’ and what on earth does ‘Make Space Littlehampton’ mean?
