@ianmiles If he was a proper journalist, or even a decent human being, he would put this in perspective of the average wages in Russia vs US. Maybe that would cool down his anger a little. But no.
@djspratt Sure, the private finance sector don’t want pay and suddenly wants gvt to play a role. Funny. Btw, gvt $ does not grow on trees, we take it from future generations. Public/private partnerships, leadership, innovation, are some of the ingredients needed.
@_david_ho_ I don’t know. With that thinking, would we have pursued solar power, an absolutely ridiculously expensive and low density source of energy? I mean, if you have a way to predict CDR pathway development curves, please let us know. MRV for OAE: very hard, but with R&D?
@AndreasenJack Like mentioned by Zeke, I think it's safe to also assume that many of these will go up before they go down, as projected cost are (almost by definition) underestimated during technology scale-up and initial deployment
@MyBioheat Renewable? With 2-5% of biodiesel you should be ashamed of calling it renewable. Get your facts straight and publish the carbon intensity of your “bioheat fuel”.
It's out! REPEAT Project's analysis of the climate & energy impacts of the Inflation Reduction Act nearing a vote in the Senate at https://t.co/6zdwAaDcml.
The Act would:
1. Cut annual emissions in 2030 by an additional ~1 billion tons below current policy (incl. Infrastr Law)
