@DebbeyOlivier@GwedeMantashe1 @DMRE_ZA @TRACSouthAfrica This year @TRACSouthAfrica will assist two grade 12 learners in the Physical Science class to apply @StellenboschUni The plan is to increase that number substantially next year. Maths and Physical Science are the key subjects when applying for SETH courses at tertiary level.
Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Graeme Bloch. We recall and honour with gratitude and admiration his contribution to our struggle, from his early days as a passionate, long haired student activist. #RIPGraemeBloch
We are richer as a nation for Graeme’s intellectual and organisational leadership in the education sector, ushering us towards adopting a range of policies that opened the doors to millions of historically excluded citizens. Wishing his loved ones strength at this difficult time.
@StellenboschUni & @DellFdn launched the Dell Young Leaders programme, enabling students from low-income backgrounds to receive increased support. Four TRAC alumni, Wandile Letsoalo, Asanda Songo, Ben Mahlangu, & Matome Sekgala were selected. We are proud of you!

@TheGautrain, donor of TRAC since 2012, has once again demonstrated their commitment to TRAC and education. They donated additional funds for @TheAnswerSeries workbooks for each of the 500 TRAC learners they support. The booklets have been welcomed by the educators and learners.
A number of TRAC students have remained in their "Stellies home", NooitgedachtA private residence, during lockdown. It is heartwarming when TRAC students from all over the country, first-year and senior students, can support one another during the lockdown period, and beyond.
TRAC alumnus, Esihle Vellem, a BEng (E&E) student at @StellenboschUni, has been appointed as vice-primaria of Lobelia student organisation. He matriculated from Khanyolwethu in 2016. Esihle's Physical Science marks improved from 64% (gr11) to 85% (gr12). We are proud!
@myNSFAS So why is NSFAS cancelling students funding during their 1st and 2nd year at varsity? Reason guardian's income now more than R350k a year. Over a period of a 3 year course this can happen as a result of normal salary increases. Must students families stay poor till graduation?
We are proud when our TRAC alumni are fighting in the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic as medical doctors. TRAC alumnus, Mzomhle Kiza, started his journey with TRAC in 2012. Today, Mzomhle is a medical doctor. We salute you, Dr. Kiza! Mzomhle's story - https://t.co/MTNVchkopm
