One of the many ironies of the Nigerian state is this: when we had a National Electoral Commission, the body was very independent. When it became the Independent National Electoral Commission @inecnigeria, it's now highly dependent on the ruling party ๐ข

@DavidHundeyin@PIDOMNIGERIA Goodluck Johnathan warned Nigerians on the impending danger of letting APC rule us.
We were warned.
Nigerians were warned Abt the ambition and plans of APC, Tinubu and Buhari.
Take a listen ๐
@ruffydfire It's funny how we hope in this country. What happened in 2015 was a state capture, consolidated in 2023 by the most vicious set of criminals in Nigeria and their global allies. If Tinubu could not be stopped in 2023, how on earth can you stop him in 2027?
@realFFK@PeterObi@realFFK Others are getting appointments in the government that you claim to have midwifed, but you've been relegated to the role of an internet troll. Kaiii, Tinubu look you finish say na media urchin fit you obviously because you can't be trusted with a serious position.
@VoiceOfTheEast In Ezza dialect, it is called egbara. If it touches your skin, you'll confess all the sins you've ever committed in 30 seconds ๐คฃ
There's a popular saying in my village: "แป tแปฅrแปฅ m egbara, vuru the scratching." ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Growing up was so much fun.
The goings-on at the Lagos State GEPT and the facts being unveiled would have been quite funny had they not been so tragic and costly to the people of Lagos over the last 2 and a half decades.
To have a state of some of the most exposed, educated, knowledgeable and highly skilled people on earth governed by a drug baron and his henchmen for the last 24 years is a really sad commentary on the Nigerian condition.
The best of Tinubu's products in terms of service delivery to Lagosians was @AkinwunmiAmbode. The worst governor Lagos State has had since 1999 is a close contest between @officialABAT himself and @jidesanwoolu.
None of them comes close in terms of Fitness for Purpose, Capacity, Competence, Character, Compassion, Pedigree and Personal integrity to Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the young architect I am personally backing to be the next Governor of Lagos State, just as I am backing Peter Obi to be Nigeria's next President.
It is my sincere hope that the judiciary at all levels will Ronu, and understand that they will be the first victims of any miscarriage of justice, because the APC people live by the doctrines enunciated in books like The 48 laws of Power and The Prince. The plight of Onnoghen and other justices of the Supreme Court under Buhari is a pointer.
I cannot wait for @GRVlagos in Lagos, Edeoga in Enugu and @PeterObi at the federal level to join the likes of @alexottiofr in Abia to start turning the fortunes of Nigeria around. We cannot be this rich in human and natural resources and yet be wallowing in such desperate and filthy poverty.

The thing about Nigerians is that no matter how much you push them to the wall, instead of a pushback, they'd rather break the wall and keep going back.
I hear a detective is sitting somewhere in a hideout, writing judgements for properly constituted judicial bodies.
This same detective has allegedly written similar judgements in the past, both for judicial and quasi-judicial bodies. I remember the judge in a quasi-judicial body laughing as he read his "judgement" - a clear indication that he was seeing it for the first time and did not write it. He even stumbled over several parts of it, and clearly lacked the capacity to write such a detailed, if unjust ruling.
I say let him continue writing. It is up to the judiciary to decide how they want to live out the rest of their days - in glory, or in infamy.
Whatever they do will decide not only the fate of millions of Nigerians, but their own fates too, in ways they cannot even begin to imagine.
History has taught us that HUMAN ENDURANCE has LIMITS, and I am of the opinion that Nigerians are slowly reaching the end of their tether.
One more misstep, and the country will go up in flames that will first consume those who lit the match with their selfish, greedy, inconsiderate, criminal and thoroughly dishonourable behaviour.
Go on. Test fate.
B.O.G.
The simple truth is that Nigeria has been hijacked by a gang of thieves and terrorists since 2015. We're only just hoping for a miracle of redemption right now.
If the Judiciary think Tinubu and his gang members will stop at how they disrespected and disobeyed the ruling of Justice Nicholas Iweibo and desecrated his court yesterday, they are living in la la land.
What he has in store for them, right up to the Supreme Court, and the CJN, will make Buhari's contemptuous treatment of Justices of the Supreme Court and CJN Onnoghen seem like child's play, IF they don't retrieve the mandate he stole from him.
Verily verily, I say unto you, the crown of a king has no honour on the head of a drug lord.
