Macaabi Tel Aviv fans should be allowed to attend their team’s match with Aston Villa - but let’s not underestimate the serious risk of disorder.

Macaabi fans should be protected before, during and after the game, but at the same time @WMPolice need to make it clear that if any travelling fans sing racist chants or attempt to carry out any racist attacks (as some Macaabi fans have a history of doing) they will be instantly arrested and prosecuted.

This is incredibly welcome news. For far too long, our high streets have become saturated with vape shops, bookmakers, and so-called ‘barbers’ that offer little value to the local community.

These businesses often displace traditional shops, undermine the character of our local centres, and make the area feel less welcoming for families.

Empowering local communities to take back control of their high streets is a vital step toward revitalising these spaces and restoring pride in where we live👏🏽
