@thelifeofadam Please, encourage and support your pastor in speaking about this at Mass. As a brother priest I know the difficulty of speaking bluntly about issues people would rather ignore. May Jesus give you both the words and your community open ears and hearts. You are all in my prayers.

It saddens me how often I must remind patriots in my congregation that we are accountable to the Gospel of Jesus Christ before we are accountable to civil law. But I will, as often as I need to! Stop separating families!

The widow of Zarephath had to be terrified at sharing the last food she & her son had; but she did! What a powerful light for others to see! May we put others first! That they may see our trust & give glory to God!

St. Barnabas vouched for the authenticity of St. Paul’s conversion & with Mark preached the Gospel. When there was a falling out with Mark he encouraged each to continue in their own way. What wisdom & kindness! We should all learn!

They are our family too. They need our love & support. Reach out to families & ask legislators to support efforts to help those suffering from mental illnesses. Talk to your family about this and let them know there is help & hope.

Jesus’ family said: “He is out of His mind”; but we know He wasn’t. There are however many who suffer: depression, bi-polar disorders, schizophrenia, addictions & other mental illnesses. In 17 years we have experienced a 30% increase in suicides.

Remembering Our Lady of Lourdes today I am reminded that there, the sick are the “privileged guests of God”. A good reminder to honor those in my life as “privileged guests”

Sad a funeral Mass today for a beautiful 24yr. old who died of a heroin overdose. “It wasn’t meant to be this way - sickness & death entered because of sin.” Jesus CAN make it different - the way it was meant to be! Pray for all those dealing with addiction & all who love them.

As a Catholic Christian serves God & Cesar; loves God & neighbor they honor the Incarnation. Jesus removed the wall between secular & sacred

The disciples response to evil & violence must always be love & prayer. HRSJ loves & prays.

Disciples must find a way to challenge, correct & speak truth, in a loving way, that invites and draws people closer to Jesus & his church!
