@NickArvin The TACRV died because it became clear it wasn't a good idea. The Rohr vehicle and others died because the Reagan administration was not as interested in mass transit as the Carter administration.

@NickArvin Here's the TACRV at the Transpo Expo in DC in 1972. The LIMRV was intended to prove the motor out for the TACRV, and it did that. We got some extra money to study some of the subtleties of linear motors with it as well.

@NickArvin I was one of the design engineers on the LIMRV (banana-shaped red and white one), working for Garrett AiResearch. I moved to Pueblo for that project and was co-pilot for a few runs. Grumman aircraft test pilots drove it normally.

@FrEdHRSJ Austin hasn't done anything really bad, but he struggles with everything and everybody, and he's lost interest in his own life. We've tried everything and gotten the best doctors around to help him, but he still struggles. Thx for your prayers!
