Last weekend I visited a young family at the lakeside city. One thing that caught my attention is when they asked their boy (approximately 6 years old) what he'd like to be when he grows up. Well, he was very confident and eloquent in his answer, with neither a second thought nor fear of contradiction. The wants to be a medical doctor. I may poke some holes on the notion of bringing up children, training them to dream of labor, especially jobs they almost know nothing about. But the tragedy is that their dream is mainly based on the compensation that comes with such lucrative careers. The tragedy sets in when they become adults, venture in those 'lucrative' careers and realize that tendepreneurs, pastors, scammers, politicians, drug lords, sluts, conmen, DJs etc make way more money despite being less than half as intelligent as they are. Times have changed, that world that Generation X and Baby Boomers had no longer exist; and those who have both the yam and the knife no longer the same.

He was selling gas from Dagoretti Corner. She lived along Riverside Drive. I don’t know how it happened but they met when he delivered gas to her apartment. Don’t know the details; maybe he pressed the doorbell and...

Memory is a f*rkd up thing. Intrusive, relentless. A river that brings down all manner of debris at the most unlikely time; all these things just floating by, some truly ugly, others eager to be clutched at and kept off the water.

HER name is Cynthia. She is 22 yrs. Early this year she applied for a passport at Nyayo House and managed to get it. The passport was collected by the father. But it had a mistake that could not be detected by a common eye. Instead of the ID number entry, the Birth Certificate had been wrongly entered.
Cynthia went to Mastermind Agents who were to connect her to a job opportunity in Qatar. It was there that a lady by the name MaryAnne detected the misnomer and rightly called Central Police Station. Cynthia was arrested on 20th March on accusation of forging a passport.
The father went back to Nyayo House demanding to know why her daughter had been arrested yet the passport was officially issues by that office and he had collected it himself.
The immigration called OCPD Central, and made it clear to him that the passport had been issued by the immigration department. Infact, when Cynthia was given a cash bail of Ksh10,000 at the police station, the money was raised by some staff at the immigration.
I personally spoke to tge officials at Nyayo House today and they were clear, an error in a passport is very common occurrence. Some errors can't be noticed by you and I, only the immigration people.
The immigration officials asked the police to release the passport to them, to rectify, in any case its their document. Till today, police are still holding the passport.
The legal office at the immigration has written to the OCPD telling him to release the passport.
Today Cynthia and mother went to the station as ordered and were informed that the police had written to the immigration and had not received a reply. immigration says no letter has been written to them in any case they are waiting for the passport. The matter is being handled by officers Sharon, Muchiri and Kosgei.
At one point, the police officers were asking Cynthia how she managed to get passport so fast saying she must have paid 30k.
The young girl would have been one of those William Samoei Ruto is sending abroad to bring the dollar. She was to take an interview by a Qatar company on the day she was arrested and so she missed the interview.
She is still waiting for police officers at Central Police Station to have their lunch, dinner, breakfast and 10 o'clock tea before submitting the passport to immigration for issuance of a new one.
When William Ruto says he is running an incompetent administration, he actually means Central Police Station. By the way both Central and Immigration are under Kindiki docket. Do I need to say more? I will follow up the case throughout this weekend.
Kenya's mobile dictionary of law? You don't need to agree with him. But you enjoy every sense of what he argues in matters law;
📌 From a powerful and rich voice, legal sense like no other, eloquence and confidence all wrapped into one brand - Kenya's best Judge that never was! Wasted in politics? ... Ladies and Gentlemen ... listen to Otiende Amollo!
@Of_the_river @nyanchwani Even me, I wouldn't have listened to you. Vaccine is based on scientific research and your argument would have been based on a pastor said theory. Stick to facts and avoid staying out of context. Am sure you did not take the vaccine. I did take all the shots and am still alive.
@StandardKenya Where did he get his results from?
I have been Struggling with shortcode and it's not coming. Neither the web portal, yet people are already celebrating. Ama the sms is selective on performance. How?
@kipmurkomen You are attending kitu hata nyinyi hamuelewi... As long as we are still importing used cars from Japan then your attendance there is as useless as.....@gabrieloguda to complete.... We are less concerned about climate as a country because we contribute zero to it's change.
