@GowagsKyle Ozzie made 281 errors and still has a .978 FP. Volpe has a .970 FP comparing arguably the greatest fielding SS OAT through home runs is a gimmick. The SS position didn’t hit home runs at that time and you know that.

@LJMaximo @MLB @MLBNetwork I completely disagree but whatever you say man. The best college guys get to prove how good they really are in Omaha, then get drafted a month or so later, the HOF gets their recognition and if you miss the HOF induction then you’re just out of the baseball loop I guess.

@LJMaximo @MLB @MLBNetwork So hs kids have to enroll in one semester before finding out if they can be drafted, coaches have to scurry to find a replacement after their guys got drafted BEFORE the season, and graduated seniors have to go on with life and be hopeful? That doesn’t seem a small percentage.

Are they supposed to just get on with life for 6 more months and train (and not be in the best possible shape) because they’re waiting for the draft? This doesn’t work with baseball the way it works with football man.

@LJMaximo @MLB @MLBNetwork And that’s another 6 months you have ti wait to get drafted and draft, a lot can happen in those 6 months. Drafting mid season and just after the high school and college seasons end is when players are in their best shape, thus giving them and scouts the best looks.
