The real reason P-Square collapsed has nothing to do with Jude Okoye (Engees) anymore.

The real truth came out in part two of the interview released by Peter Okoye (Mr P), and almost everyone missed the biggest revelation.

Both brothers had already successfully removed Jude Okoye (Engees) from the management structure.

They went ahead to register a brand-new company called Square Root Ltd., established on a clean 50/50 partnership. Jude Okoye (Engees) was completely out of the equation.

The slate was wiped clean.

Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) then proposed what should have been the most transparent, performance-based business framework in modern Afrobeats history.

For a 10-track P-Square album, the formula was simple:
- Each brother contributes 5 songs to the project.
- Each brother registers their own written songs under their individual name.
- Both brothers perform together on stage and split all show fees and live performance revenue 50/50.
-Each brother retains 100 percent of the digital streaming royalties generated by their own contributed songs.

What I think Peter would have done was to add a clause that If I, Peter Okoye (Mr P) wanted Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) to sing a hook or lead a verse on one of his 5 tracks, he retained the right to arrange it, and Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) had the same creative option in return.

This was the ultimate test of fairness. Show money split equally down the middle, while individual creative output was rewarded directly by listener demand.

Guess who rejected the deal?

Peter Okoye (Mr P).

Ask yourself a simple question: if Peter Okoye (Mr P) truly believed he was the main attraction, the equal hitmaker, and the creative engine of P-Square, why reject a framework that allows him to keep 100 percent of his own streaming earnings?

Why demand a joint pool of streaming royalties if you genuinely believe your songs will stream as heavily as those written by Paul Okoye (Rudeboy)?

A live show split gives you equal earnings on stage, but a song-by-song streaming split exposes who actually writes the hits that people replay at home.

Rejecting a 50/50 live performance deal with individual streaming ownership is a quiet admission of where the real musical value sits.

The business model was on the table, Jude Okoye (Engees) was already out of the picture, and the terms were transparent.

JUST IN: "NIGERIA 🇳🇬 GEO-POLITICAL ZONE BILL 2026

[1] As of October 1 2026, Nigeria’s six geo-political zones will become official and constitutional organs of government. This means that there will be four tiers of administration in Nigeria - Federal, Zonal, State and Local governments

[2] Nigeria will have six geo-political zones, with each being made up of seven states. Our constitution will prohibit the creation of any more states after these 42

[3] As part of this restructure, we will abolish the federal allocation regime and replace it with resource control under which states will remain the federating units. Revenue distribution will be as follows - States: 50%; Federation account: 20%; Geo-political zones: 15%; National trust fund: 15%. We shall gradually migrate towards this to achieve our targeted goal by 2040

[4] Geopolitical zones will be responsible for maintaining regional police forces to augment the activities of the Nigerian Police Force

[5] Each geopolitical zone will be constitutionally obliged to generate, distribute and transmit electricity within its domain

[6] Every year, the chairman of the geopolitical zone will rotate among the six governors within it. A chief executive will be appointed to manage what will be a civil service structure

[7] Ultimate authority for the governing of each geo-political zone rests with the committee of governors. There will also be committees of commissioners to deal with matters such as education, health, housing, transport, security, etc

[8] Each geopolitical zone authority will be responsible for secondary specialist healthcare. They will build specialist hospitals in areas such as oncology, HIV/Aids, renal failure, dementia, reproductive health, dermatology, etc
