cukup sekali menjelaskan, jika tidak di dengarkan, maka itu bukan urusanmu lagi.
mulai hargai dirimu sendiri, dan hindari perdebatan yang tidak penting.
That "skinny" girl lifting the bar recently gained 5lbs trying to overcome her eating disorder.
That skinny kid on the bench press is trying to get stronger because he’s tired of being bullied.
That young girl doing her workout wrong is new to the gym and struggling with addiction.
That angry looking buff guy just lost his job and has no idea how he is going to provide for his family.
That "overweight" girl wearing tight clothes has already lost 30lbs and is only just starting to feel confident.
That Mom lifting 5lbs has been dealing with postpartum depression and just making it to the gym is a huge win for her.
That guy sitting alone on the turf just lost his wife and his entire world is falling apart.
Everyone in the gym is fighting demons we know nothing about. Be kind always. 🙏🏼❤️
I don’t speak for all men, but I know most can relate when I say most men don’t like gifts or are too humble to feel deserving of them. But I will say, if you have a good man, one that treats you right and makes you happy, let him know it. Tell him you’re proud that he’s your man and let him know how lucky you are to have him. Making a man feel he is “enough” and deserving of love is one of the greatest gifts you can ever give him. Do that and he’ll give you the world and more.
When I was 11, I told my mother I wanted to go to Oxford, and she laughed in my face. “You?”
I didn’t apply to Oxford, because you can’t apply to both Oxford and Cambridge. I didn’t go to Cambridge, because I chose Caltech instead.
When I was a first-year PhD student in control systems, my machine learning TA told me not to bother applying to the computer science department, because many tried to do that transition, and didn’t get in.
I risked it all by only taking machine learning courses and projects, got in, and ended up working with a star professor in computer vision.
When I was in my third year of PhD, I told my labmates I want to move to a larger city, with more of an ecosystem of collaboration, and proximity to other great schools and companies. They told me if I moved, I wouldn’t graduate.
I finished my PhD in four years.
The point is, there will always be someone too afraid to try what you’ve set out to do, and discouraging you from taking a risk to pursue a higher reward.
Don’t let people’s attempts to validate their own life choices dissuade you.
