$1,198 turns a Mac Mini M4 and Xreal One Pro glasses into a monitor-free editing studio.

A folding table. An iced coffee sweating next to the keyboard. Tree branches move outside the window. No screen anywhere on the desk.

He pulls a fist-sized Mac Mini M4 out of a zip case. 8-core. 16GB. $599. Snaps on the glasses — 126 grams, 57-degree field of view, $599 more.

DaVinci Resolve opens. 200 inches wide. Floating in the air over the street outside.

6 months ago he edited on two 27-inch monitors in a shared office. $340 a month for the desk. $90 for the chair. A commute that ate an hour a day.

He sold both monitors for $210. Cancelled the lease. Kept the chair.

Now: 6 client edits a week from whatever table has an outlet. $180 a cut. $1,080 a week. $4,320 a month, no rent, no commute, no gear beyond what fits in one palm.

Battery on the glasses runs 3 hours. He charges between projects, iced coffee in the other hand. Latency low enough that scrubbing a timeline feels native — no lag between the mouse and the cut.
