No amount of words could convey how much Daddy meant to us and many others but I think this piece in today’s Irish News is a lovely way to remember a very special man #brod
Starmer calling Corbyn's Labour morally bankrupt in his resignation speech — from a man who defended collective punishment in Gaza, fed intelligence to Israeli génocidaires, and had activists trying to stop it arrested as terrorists. Not a decent man. An indecent sociopath.
My father was stabbed 33 times & had his throat cut from ear to ear by this loyalist UFF murder. Do I blame the entire loyalist community, of course I don’t! Evil is Evil it doesn’t recognise race, creed or colour!!
1. The 'counter-protest' saw angry masked men calling marchers "paedos", "sluts", "dirty rats", "scum".
2. In this video, you tell 'counter-protestors' they have "behaved impeccably".
3. You claim this means you are owed an apology.
People will remember this disrespect Carla.
I have not seen a single mainstream media outlet give this the attention it deserves.
Israel blew up an entire Lebanese town, an ancient place. It should be headline news. There’s footage of it happening.
Imagine this was your town, and you saw every building blown up by a terrorist army to prevent you from ever returning. You would at the very least expect wall to wall coverage. Instead it passes without a word.
It’s not the only town Israel has blown up. And sadly it probably won’t be the last.
British Army, RUC, UDR omitted, yet they were largest scale terrorisers.
Not many in Alliance experienced their street saturated in tear gas or estate being torn apart in searches or were harassed during P checks.
Never mind those who lost their lives at the hands of the state
The only UK paper to have the funerals of 160 Iranian schoolgirls on its front page this morning is the Metro freesheet.
Quite simply, had they been Israeli schoolgirls the coverage would have been immense.
You can lie to yourself and say it's not true – but we all know it is.
Bombing Iran in the middle of negotiations, while starving Cuba, while genociding Palestinians, while threatening to invade Greenland… the US and Israel are the single greatest threat to humanity and it’s not even close. We are all forced to live in the nightmare they create.
U2 isn't a "vital political voice", they are poxy cowards who have said nothing about the genocide in Gaza. Performative "resistance" nonsense, when millions marched against bloodthirsty Israeli ethnic cleansing.
Boycott their music, spare us all their hypocrisy
9 innocent Palestinian civilians died during the last weather storm in Gaza due to severe cold, lack of proper tents and the collapse of walls of buildings destroyed by the Israeli army, including the 9 months old child Rahaf Abu Jazar who died of cold and lack of heating.
So, teaching staff are wrong,
Their unions are wrong,
Other political parties are wrong,
The UN are wrong,
All the human rights organisations are wrong,
The ICC are wrong.
Ordinary people disgusted by his actions are wrong.
Him and his party think he is right.

There has been a 227% increase in the number of students who are registering for Irish courses at Queen’s University Belfast this year.
As a result of this new demand, The Language Centre has put on extra classes.
One of the most important developments is the Irish Language Residential Scheme, a place where students live together through the medium of Irish. It creates a natural speaking environment and a friendly community between speakers from various backgrounds. The scheme started for the first time in 2022.
"A daily effort is made here to normalise the Irish language. We are starting out on the revival of Irish – not only in the University, but in society in general. It is heard in the media, in music, in movies, on social media.
"The most important thing is to give space and respect to Irish speakers." (Mark Harte, Irish Language Officer at Queen's)
Tá méadú 227% ar líon na mac léinn a chláraíonn don chéad bhliain ar chúrsaí Gaeilge in Ollscoil na Banríona i mBéal Feirste i mbliana.
Mar thoradh ar an éileamh nua, bhí ar Ionad na dTeangacha ranganna breise Gaeilge a chur ar fáil i mbliana.
Ceann de na forbairtí is tábhachtaí ná an Scéim Chónaithe Gaeilge, áit a gcónaíonn mic léinn le chéile trí mheán na Gaeilge. Cruthaíonn sé sin timpeallacht nádúrtha labhartha agus pobal cairdiúil idir cainteoirí ó chúlraí éagsúla. Thosaigh an Scéim den chéad uair in 2022.
"Déantar iarracht ar bhonn laethúil an Ghaeilge a normalú anseo. Tá muid ag toiseacht amach ar athbheochan na Gaeilge – ní hamháin san ollscoil, ach sa tsochaí i gcoitinne. Cloistear í sna meáin, sa cheol, sna scannáin, ar na meáin shóisialta.
"An rud is tábhachtaí ná spás agus meas a thabhairt do na Gaeil," (Dúirt Oifigeach Gaeilge na hollscoile Mark Harte @ChocoHarte)
