Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, who is set to become the new ruler of Syria, has stated that he does not intend to start any new conflict with Israel because the country is not prepared for another war. Jolani had to say this because Israel has been continuously penetrating Syrian borders, and their forces are just 20 kilometers from the Syrian capital. During Assad's time, all the fighter planes and the navy were destroyed. In simple terms, currently, Syria does not have an army. Without an army, what kind of nation can it be, especially in the conflict-ridden area of the Middle East?
However, instead of addressing Israel, Jolani labels Iran and Hezbollah as the greatest enemies of Syria. This rhetoric matches that of Netanyahu, who has said that if the new Syrian government devises any plan to return weapons to Iran, it would be disastrous.
Jolani was once a disciple of al-Qaeda's Zawahiri and ISIS's Baghdadi. But now, it seems due to his ambitious thinking, he has become a mentor to all. His current language reflects his intent to take control of Syria's governance, for which he is willing to adopt the rhetoric of Israel and America. However, his Sunni ISIS-supporting fighters have begun killing people without trial. Amid these open murders of Assad supporters, Jolani has taken a liberal stance and has not yet imposed Sharia dress codes for women. On one side, there's American pressure, while on the other, Jolani's fighters are flaunting their guns with cries of "Allahu Akbar" after shooting people. Let's see what happens next...
