Most of human history markets free from governments that establish money in order to fund military, as we did here in the U.S., were based on credit. People didn’t mathematically formalize supply and demand until the 18th century. So there was no idea of an economy as we look at it.

Why as a king if silver and gold are money, would you make print coin then demand it back again in taxes? If you pay your solders in coin then it forces your population your taxing to feed them.

The real race is to make an ai that does ai research and let it improve itself much faster than we could. I call it accelerative thrust which will eventually become the Soviet Union’s dream. The perfect central planner.

The choice is to either let a monopoly control everyone or to democratize the decisions of use of ai through a more democratic governing system than we have now.
