According to Opta, that 4-0 defeat is England #Lionesses' heaviest since 2009 Euro final against Germany (6-2) 2009, and heaviest without scoring since September 2003 (4-0 also against Germany).
Not the marker they were hoping to set against the world champions tonight.
Wasn’t what I expected to hear today.
@OmarBerrada mentioning my writing in his interview with @AndyMitten. Thanks Omar, it means a lot to me that it resonated with you.

🚨 The House just voted 218-204 to move forward on the discharge petition to provide military aid to Ukraine and impose tough sanctions on Russia. The House will vote on final passage tomorrow. This is our Churchill moment and we must pass the test.
He wanted to look tough. He posted a painting of himself surrounded by oiled-up shirtless men in tiny shorts waving pompoms. Safe to say this did not land quite the way he intended.
I stood at this pool, at both monuments and saw both reflections…
He’s a God damn idiot, as are the fools that support him. The “Reflection Pool” wasn’t designed by American architect Henry Bacon a hundred years ago to look like a swimming pool. It’s designed to have a darkened characteristics that has reflective qualities to reflect the monuments.
That way, the Washington Monument is reflective to you when at the Lincoln Memorial, and when at the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial is reflective to you.
It’s designed to enhance the grandeur of monuments, create an illusion of reflection, and inclusion of expansive space of unity.
He’s a tacky vulgar person that vulgarizes everything he touches. America isn’t becoming great, it’s becoming vulgar.

What planet did you grow up on? I was a kid in the 1950s and there was no “it’s good for English football” talk! Indeed, the FA forbade Busby entering the European Cup, but he did it anyway!
When I was a kid growing up, everyone wanted all the English sides to do well in Europe saying "It's good for English football." Things seemed to have changed though amongst modern football fans and it is weird that people are wildly celebrating Arsenal's loss to PSG.
@AdamMcKola Does anyone realize that ‘fan’ is short for ‘fanatic’! Anyone who will root ‘for’ a rival team loses their ‘fan’ card! This has nothing to do with ‘modern’ football and everything to do with understanding the English language!
"If Arsenal are unpopular with neutrals, it’s because they waste everyone’s time. Not just their opponents’ time, but our time too. Football fans everywhere are suffering Arsenal’s consequences. They are like a company that spews pollution into the environment in their production process, privatising the profits and socialising the costs. To them, dumping toxic sludge into the river is just free waste disposal. It’s the rest of us who get a headache when we drink the tap water" https://t.co/PHpC1FRgv7
Pundits want Arsenal to win because they are the English team, while 99.9% of rival English club fans are rooting for PSG. There is a massive difference between pundits who get paid for their view and club fans who pay to follow their clubs
It’s almost comical the melt-down Arsenal fans are having about yesterday, conveniently ignoring a season of pro-Arsenal EPL officiating, as evidenced by their ‘no red cards, no penalties against, VAR ignoring corner-kicks never pulled violations’ season. Poetic justice y’day!
@FIFABrit Accurate assessment, and therein lies the problem. Arsenal executed their game plan to perfection, in the same way inferior clubs become FA Cup ‘giant-killers’ - stifle the life out of the game and pray for the luck of the dice on penalties!
There’s not a cat in hell’s chance everyone would be singing our praises postmatch like this if Manchester United had 24.7% possession in a major final.
🚨 Mikel Arteta: “I watched all the penalties in the competition in the last 72 hours to understand what is a penalty and what is not…
…that one on Madueke can easily be a penalty”.
