Some of us believers have "itchy ears".
The simple things that Scripture established for us as the basis of knowledge have been heard by us many times.
We have not really practised them or mastered them, but we have heard them so many times that they have now become too common in our minds.
We now want to hear of dimensions, portals, shape shifting, realms and aeons
Yeah...
A person who called himself a pastor just held the microphone to say that "Till death do us part is no longer a thing"
He said the spirit of a dead man does not go to heaven or hell or even leave this earth
He said the spirit of a dead husband still abides with his living wife
This is absolutely contrary to the scriptures: Romans 7:2, 1 Corinthians 7:39.
Ruth was a widow; she got remarried to Boaz after her first husband, Mahlon, died in Moab.
Abigail was a widow; she got remarried to David after her first husband, Nabal, died of a stroke
One traditionalist in suit, who claims he knows about the Realm of the Spirit, carried a microphone and stated with confidence that nobody should marry a widow because her late husband's spirit is still married to her.
His members didn't realise that he is not of God.
They sat there and listened to him, and some of them even believed him and had started adjusting their brains to accommodate his fraudulent teaching.
The inability to think is the greatest problem Christians have in Africa
The constant introduction of superstition as spirituality, which many pastors practise, is the reason so many believers are still drinking milk after many years of being in the Christian religion.
The way we test the Spirit in a teacher or preacher are many
One of them is if he or she divides the basics of the word of truth as written and with simplicity
No wonder the Apostle Paul asked the Galatians who bewitched them?
Is it not bewitchment that made women sit down to listen to that pastor?
Are they not getting the memo that his teaching is subjugating women and their right to remarriage in case they lose their spouse?
Why are men still members of that man's congregation? Are they not seeing that their daughters, sisters, and wives were being attacked by that man? Are they that blind to see that such a teaching is heretical and would only pollute the spiritual eyes of those who hear it?
Did they not learn anything from Eve and what happened to her after she listened to the serpent?
Someone called Nigerian Christians "sheepies", another person referred to them as "gullible", someone else said they are "Dullards"
I am saying that despite all the brilliance and soundness of mind that the Christian community in Nigeria and Africa have in abundance, the evidence that we "think" when it comes to Spiritual or religious issues is very scarce
It is not too much to ask that when we hear what anybody has to say, we process it and once we see it is contrary to Scripture, we should discontinue listening to such a person, no matter how much we regard the person in the flesh.
A preacher who is constantly talking of seeing Satan, demons and evil spirits should not be listened to by any sound-thinking Christian.
We belong to the Kingdom of Jesus, and as a result of this we must see the things that belong to that kingdom
Jesus did not teach his disciples by using Satan and demons as his Specimen
He used Himself and the Bible clearly stated that we should look unto JESUS, the author and finisher of our faith.
A preacher who is claiming spiritual knowledge that is contrary to Scripture should be avoided like a plague
A common sense preacher or motivational speaker who is not spiritually sound should be avoided at all cost
A charlatan who is anti-women and anti-marriage and anti-freedom who claims he is a pastor should not be listened to or given an audience for any reason.
We should stop enabling cancers.
That itchy ear is a problem.
Be a DOER of the word, not a hearer only!

Work That Miracle Today
âFor [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly {and} longs earnestly for Godâs sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]â Romans 8:19 AMPC
Are you expecting a miracle in your body, finances, or academics? If you are, then I have a very important message from the Lord for you today. When the Lord Jesus was given the scriptures to read, He didnât read them like every other person. The confidence and authority with which He read the scriptures arrested the peopleâs attention, such that all eyes were fastened on Him. They had been accustomed to the scriptures being read as you would a promissory note because they were still living in the day of expectation. But Jesus read the scriptures as the One anointed to fulfill them. He introduced them to the dawning of a new day; the day of manifestation.
We (Christians) are not living in the day of expectation, for we were born to manifest the glory and nature of our heavenly Father. In the tenth chapter of Acts, the Bible tells us about Cornelius, a devout man. He prayed everyday with an expectation that God would visit him, and that prayer was answered when Peter showed up at his home. Peter didnât just sit there expecting God to do something; rather, he preached Godâs Word and the Holy Spirit came upon Cornelius and his entire household as he preached. Peter manifested the true character of the sons of God.
The Bible says, âFor surely there is a latter end [a future and a reward], and your hope and expectation shall not be cut offâ (Proverbs 23:18 AMPC). In other words, whatever your expectation is, itâs as good as done. The days of expectation have birthed the days of manifestation. You can just walk into the manifestation of your expectation. We were born into the day of the manifestation; the day of receiving anything we desire from God by faith. Therefore, stop expecting a miracle and start walking in your miracle. Hallelujah!
âAnd these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.â
The Lord Jesus never once exaggerated; He always spoke absolute reality. What He said above is something you should consciously demonstrate, knowing that He who said it never lied to anyone. Youâre to lay hands on the sick to receive healing; youâve got that ability in the Name of Jesus. The Lord Jesus will be remiss to ask you to do something you couldnât do, or for which He hasnât enabled you. He said in Matthew 10:8, âHeal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the deadâŠ.â This is for every believer in Christ; step out in faith and take healing and health to the people in your world, and in the regions beyond.
Someone might, however, lament, âWhen I pray for people, they get healed, but when I get sick Iâm not able to help myself.â Many have found themselves in this dilemma. Itâs similar to what happened to Elisha who was so anointed of God but died sick. In 2 Kings 13:20-21, some men were about to bury a man when they spotted some raiders. Hastily, they tossed the corpse into the sepulcher that contained the remains of Elisha. As soon as the dead body came in contact with Elishaâs bones, the dead man came back to life (2 Kings 13:21). This happened long after Elisha was dead; his bones retained the anointing! Though Elisha died sick, Godâs power in him didnât fail. We can conclude that it was Elisha that didnât apply that power to his health.
Youâre supposed to apply the same authority Jesus gave you to heal the sick in your personal life. Christ the Healer lives in you; acknowledge this reality, and function with this consciousness every day. When you do, everything thatâs not of God: sickness, poverty, death, lack, failure, depression, etc., will have no hold over you.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:7-10).*
âThe working of miraclesâ is one of the manifestations and gifts of the Spirit. When that gift is in operation in your life, the Spirit of God causes you or guides you to perform a miracle. Thereâs a wonderful example of such in the Old Testament, where the sons of the Prophets came to Elisha to help them retrieve a borrowed axe which had fallen into the river. The Bible says Elisha cut a piece of wood, dropped it in the water, and the axe head came afloat (2 Kings 6:6).
How did he know what to do for the axe head to come to the surface of the water? That was the Spiritâs leading. Elisha worked a miracle when the other folks didnât know what to do about the situation. On another occasion, a widow lost her only son and pleaded with Elisha for help. The Bible says, Elisha ââŠwalked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyesâ (2 Kings 4:35). Again, how did Elisha know what to do to bring the child back to life? That was the gift of the working of miracles in operation!
If you want to work with God for your financial success, for instance, you must have the thinking of the miraculous. As long as you think impossibility, you canât work miracles. You must have a different mind-set. The miraculous isnât based on the wisdom of this world. When thereâs a seemingly âimpossibleâ situation, and no human mind can comprehend a way out, trust the Holy Spirit for the working of miracles.
Always, your desire should be to be synchronized with the Holy Spirit; filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That way, your life will be the expression and manifestation of the supernatural.
DEMONS ARE REALâCAST THEM OUT
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devilsâŠ(Mark 16:17).
Thereâre people who say they donât believe in the existence of demons, saying that devils or demons only exist in the imagination of certain people. Such folks are ignorant because the Bible tells us that Satan and demons are real. 1 Peter 5:8 says, ââŠyour adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.â
Jesus taught about demons and how they operate, and He cast out demons on several occasions. In fact, the very first sign He said would follow those who believe in Him is what we read in our opening scripture: the ability to cast out demons.
Once, He was teaching in the synagogue and the Bible tells us that a certain woman who was bent double and couldnât straighten up herself came into the synagogue. The Bible says, âAnd when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmityâ (Luke 13:12).
In the 11th and 16th verses, itâs clearly stated that the womanâs condition was caused by the devil, and Jesus proved it when He touched her and commanded her to straighten up, and she was restored instantly.
There were also instances where He commanded deaf spirits to come out of people who were deaf and dumb, and they instantly began to hear and speak. Many of us have done the same thing over the years in His Name. Weâve cast out deaf and dumb spirits, and instantly, the people who were afflicted started to hear and to speak. We did exactly what Jesus said to do and what He did.
He told us to cast out demons because they are real and are responsible for many of the troubles and infirmities that people suffer with and that we see around us. So, donât be deceived by Satanâs incognito; if he can get you to believe he doesnât exist, then he can mess up your life and mess up things around you. The Bible says weâre not ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). Ephesians 4:27 tells us to give him no place, no foothold.
Satan and his demons may be real, but theyâre powerless, defenceless and paralyzed before us. Whenever they show up, cast them out; truncate their activities, manoeuvres and manipulations. You have absolute dominion over them; exercise it
Thereâre no Christians specially anointed or gifted to cast out demons. Jesus said, ââŠthese signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devilsâŠâ (Mark 16:17). The only qualification needed for you to be able to cast out devils is to be a believing one; itâs to be in Christ. Every Christian has authority to cast out devils, including the one that just got born again minutes ago.
Someone might say, âHow can that be? Donât we need to prepare ourselves and pray âpowerful prayersâ before we can cast out devils?â No! Jesus didnât even ask us to pray about the devil. He said, âCast him out!â You never need to tell God to do anything about the devil, because He already did everything He needed to do about the devil, and demons of darkness, and gave you authority over them.
In Mark 6:7, the Bible says, âAnd he (Jesus) called unto him the twelve, andâŠgave them power over unclean spirits.â The Greek word for âpowerâ is âexousia,â and it means âauthority.â Jesus gave us authority over unclean spirits. Read what He did to them in hell: âHaving disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in itâ (Colossians 2:15 NKJV). Jesus rendered Satan and his cohorts incapacitated; powerless and useless. But guess what? When He did it, you were in Him.
In Luke 10:19, He said, âBehold, I give unto you power (authority), to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power (ability) of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.â You have the authority to control and tame Satan and his cohorts; to put them in check; and that authority is perfect and absolute. No demon can resist it.
Remember what we read in our opening verse, âAnd these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devilsâŠâ; itâs a law in the realm of the spirit. When you ask a demon to come out in the Name of Jesus, itâs as though Jesus Himself were speaking. Live in the authority of His Name. Refuse to allow the devil run rampage in your environment.
A Letter from America IV
Why the Numbers Donât Add Up
Look around today and youâll see the cracks in our marriage model. More women are single than ever. More men are frustrated and lonely. Families are fractured, and the questions keep coming:
âWhy are so many women single?â
âWhere are all the good men?â
The answer isnât that complicated. Itâs math.
Hypergamy and Hypogamy: Two Natural Instincts
Most women are hypergamousâthey desire to âmarry up.â A man with higher status, wisdom, strength, and provision. This isnât shallowâitâs biological, social, and God-designed.
Most men, on the other hand, are hypogamous. Weâre drawn to women who are younger, more feminine, and less experienced. Again, this is natural.
But when you enforce monogamy-only across the whole society, those instincts collide in a way that simply doesnât work.
Millions of women are chasing the top 10â20% of men.
The bottom 80% of men are ignored or rejected.
And the high-value men? They canât marry more than one womanâeven if theyâre able and willing.
The result? Broken math. Broken hearts. Broken families.
Women Already Share Men, They Just Donât Get the Benefits
Letâs be honest about modern dating.
Many women today are involved with men who are simultaneously involved with several women.
But thereâs no honesty about it.
No covenant. No protection. No household.
Just competition.
Instead of secret girlfriends and situationships, why canât such men be allowed the freedom to date women who are also wired like the men or who belong in the same set as them and are willing to live in honesty and transparency instead of cheating on each other
âą commitment
âą leadership
âą family structure
âą shared legacy
It turns chaos into covenant.
There Arenât Enough Godly Men To Go Around
This is one of the most ignored realities in the church today.
There are millions more women than men in churches all over the world
Many of the men who are present are:
âą already married
âą spiritually immature
âą not ready to lead a family
So what advice do women usually receive?
âJust wait on the Lord.â
But for many women the real options become:
âą remain single forever
âą marry a man who doesnât share their faith
âą marry a godly man who already has a wife
Polygyny isnât about being second.
Itâs about not being excluded from marriage altogether.
Creates a Redemptive Path for Single Mothers
The Christian world is producing baby mamas and single parents so rapidly nowadays because women who have waited for many years to get a husband without any success are now choosing to become single mothers before it is too late to have both. They do this medically, or they just look for a man to impregnate them while electing to care for the child and give the child their own surnames
One of the biggest social crises in the modern world is fatherless homes.
Nearly one in three children grows up without a father.
Government programs canât replace a father.
Social media empowerment slogans canât replace a father.
But a godly household can.
Removing the stigma and religious blockade would allows single mothers to get married and provide a path into stable families where children can grow up with masculine leadership, structure, and protection.
That isnât exploitation.
Thatâs restoration.
4. It Rescues Women From the âStrong and Independentâ Trap
Modern culture tells women the highest goal is independence.
Career.
Grinding alone.
Handling everything yourself.
But ask many women privately, and youâll hear something different.
Theyâre exhausted.
Biblical marriage was never meant to be a solo survival project.
Proverbs 31 describes a woman building a household inside a larger structure.
Freedom to love allows women to cooperate rather than compete.
Shared responsibilities.
Shared vision.
Shared legacy.
5. The Real Objection Is Ego
When some people object to the freedom to love, they often say:
âI want to be the only one.â
You can be if you and your partner are monogamous by nature
Another person who is expressing his or her freedom to love would be accommodating of others
6. It Multiplies Stability
Most modern families are barely surviving.
Two parents working full time. Children raised by daycare. Constant financial pressure.
That isnât legacy.
Thatâs survival mode.
Imagine multiple adults contributing to the household.
Shared childcare.
Shared responsibilities.
Shared financial stability.
Instead of two exhausted people trying to do everything, the household becomes a team.
Contrary to your assertion, sir, I am not advocating advanced hookups or irresponsible sexual behaviour. I am asking us to allow people to be true to their own nature. They are already doing what they have to do to survive or cope with life in their own little worlds anyway
People have different orientations toward relationships. Some people experience love, attachment, and connection in a way that is different than how others experience them.
Some people have the capacity and willingness to form multiple meaningful romantic bonds with honesty and consent. But that does not automatically mean a person must practice it.
Such a person can still choose to be in a monogamous relationship. People make that choice all the time â sometimes out of love, sometimes out of circumstance, sometimes because their partner prefers monogamy. And that choice is valid. But for many other people, living within a strictly monogamous structure can sometimes feel like having to ignore or suppress a natural part of how they experience connection.
It can feel like constantly filtering yourself. Disqualifying potential relationships before they even have the chance to exist. Closing doors that you know you could have opened.
Not because those relationships would harm your existing one, but because the structure you agreed to requires those possibilities to remain unexplored.
And that tension is something many people quietly navigate.
When you strip away all the labels and misunderstandings, this is simply a philosophy of relationships built on a few core ideas: autonomy, transparency, consent, and emotional responsibility.
It is the belief that love does not have to be restricted to a single connection in order to be meaningful. It is the belief that people are not possessions.
And it is the belief that relationships should be built intentionally â not simply inherited from cultural defaults.
But just because someone resonates with these ideas does not mean they are required to live their life one specific way.
Some people realize monogamy suits them best. Some people discover that polygamy suits them best. It is not one size fits all. Like I pointed out earlier, half the world is practising polygamy and has been doing so since the beginning. The West is not better than Dubai, UAE, Saudi Arabia and other nations that practise this. The population in Northern Nigeria is greatly helped by polygamy, while monogamy has shrunk Latvia to the point that their women are now openly fighting just to have a man spend the night with them.
Nowadays, we have other kinds of relationships that have evolved as coping mechanisms because nature abhors a vacuum. Polyamory, polygyny, polygamy, polyandry, hypergamy, Hypogamy, casual dating, extensationship, Nanosecond relationships, Sneaky link, Relationship anarchy, cohabitation, friendship marriages, swinging, friends with benefits, situationship, Benching, Breadcrumbing, open relationship, ghistlightning, zombieing, cuffing season, love bombing, slow dating, Baby Mama, single parenthood to mention a few.
This proves that people are still doing what they desire. They will continue to do what works for them, whether in secret or in the open. Monogamy is not for everybody.
Someone can be practicing one of the above and choose to remain in a monogamous relationship out of love and commitment. Some people move fluidly between relationship structures at different stages of their lives.
And some people build deeply fulfilling polyamorous relationship networks. There is no single correct answer.
Brother Gbenga, you are neither right nor wrong, and I admit that I am neither right nor wrong, too, as far as the issue of what genuine love, connection, romance, relationships, and sexual orientation is concerned.
What matters is not which structure you choose. What matters is whether the structure you live in is chosen consciously, rather than followed automatically.
Because relationships â like any meaningful part of life â deserve reflection. They deserve intention. They deserve honesty.
And most importantly, they deserve freedom. Freedom to understand yourself. Freedom to understand the people you love. And freedom to build the kind of connections that actually reflect who you are.
There are no right or wrong answers here.
Only honest ones.
And sometimes, the most important thing we can do is simply give ourselves the space to ask the questions.
Thank you for your time, sir, and thank you for not thrashing my thoughts or losing patience with me.

PS: I had a lecturer when I was at the University
He will ask a difficult question in class
If he calls your name and you reply by saying âNo Idea. sirâ

He will say, âA bad idea is better than no idea.â

Spiritual Programming
I read the story of the young man who killed his father in Abuja a few days ago.
It was a gory tale
There are, however, many lessons to learn from it
People program gullible people to act in a certain way
Demons also program the undescerning to act in a certain way
A young man went to the club, and he saw other young men who were his peers acting in certain ways, but he was not given the privilege to act in the same way, despite the wealth of his father
A friend says to him, "You say your father is rich and you are taking Uber to the club."
He tells a girlfriend. "Babe, my father is a billionaire but he has refused to buy me a Benz for my trips"
The friends say to him, Go to your father and be a man. Challenge him and demand for your right as a first son!"
The girlfriend says to him, how can you claim your father is rich and you are riding an UBER all the time when your mates are driving Range Rover or GLE to give their babes trips and make a name for themselves!
He hears this and decides to confront his father for more resources to enjoy his life
His father had travelled on a business trip, and he went to his mother to make demands
His mother gives him whatever she can and tells him he knows his father was a stingy man who didn't leave enough for her to give
The young man then decides to confront his father whenever they saw
The father arrived from his trip, and the son then came home at 2 AM with his "girlfriends".
He had been telling them of how rich his father was and how stingy he was to him and the family
The ladies laughed and told him he was still a boy.
He heard them, but they registered in his ears as he was not being given the right treatment by his father by every standard
He wanted to be a DAVIDO, but his father was not being an ADELEKE!
He decided he has to address this to keep up his rep with his babes and within the club
He saw his father and reacted violently, "Daddy, why are you so stingy? Why wouldn't you allow me to enjoy the benefits of your wealth?"
The father, a businessman who felt his son was already delinquent, felt insulted by his son's accusations and also reacted, "What do you mean, you spoiled brat! You are returning home at 2 AM with two ladies and demanding money from me!"
The boy got angry that his father denigrated him in front of his girlfriends and attacked his father without thinking!
He took a knife and stabbed his father to prove his manliness to his babes
His father died, and he realised he had done something irredeemable
His self-preservation instincts kicked in, and he quickly acted like he was not responsible for his father's death
He quickly pretended it was an armed robber and raised an alarm, but the CCTV of their neighbour showed clearly what happened!
He was arrested for killing his father
The girlfriends disavowed him
His friends forsook him
He has been programmed for destruction through the influence of his friends and his lovers
This is a very typical example of demonic programming
The devil tells the person many things that lead to the person making decisions that would destroy their life.
This is what spiritual programming looks like!
A son has a father, and his son tells him he wanted his inheritance
The father gave it to him
He went to a strange country and squandered his inheritance on scandalous living and lifestyle
One day the Spirit of God came to him and reminded him that he wa guaranteed a good life if he would swallow his pride and return to his father as a slave as he struggled with pigs for food
Look at it as written in the scriptures in Luke 15:11
Jesus continued: âThere was a man who had two sons. 12Â The younger one said to his father, âFather, give me my share of the estate.â So he divided his property between them.
13Â âNot long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14Â After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15Â So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16Â He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17Â âWhen he came to his senses, he said, âHow many of my fatherâs hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18Â I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19Â I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.â 20Â So he got up and went to his father.
âBut while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.â\
âThe son said to him, âFather, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.â
22Â âBut the father said to his servants, âQuick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23Â Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Letâs have a feast and celebrate. 24Â For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.â So they began to celebrate.
He was programmed by the devil to act in a certain way, but after a while, he CAME TO HIMSELF and reprogrammed himself to act in the right manner!
Some people can reprogram themselves, while some people cannot!
The prodigal son had no one to impress; he left all his friends and advisers in the strange land and came to his father alone.
This helped a lot in helping him resolve issues.
Sometimes a young man or woman would offend his father, like Ahitophel offended David, and they would be looking for an intermediary to speak and beg on their behalf
This is wrong!
The attitude of a man when alone is different from the attitude of a man when he believes he has someone or some people to impress so that they will not see him as a weakling.
Demonic programming works when the programmed one is not given the opportunity to come to HIMSELF.
Demonic programming fails in the place of self-reflection because the person has no one to impress and would be able to apologise without losing a modicum of dignity in the eyes of others.
Hope you learned something!

I was invited to preach in a foreign country
The protocol officers were supposed to take me straight to the hotel from the airport, but I wanted to see the church and get a feel of the auditorium without the crowd
It helps sometimes to take a walk around the auditorium while praying quietly before one ministers
Especially if you are led by the Holy Spirit to do so
So I told the protocol guys to take me to the church
When we got there, I told them to wait in the car while I took a walk within the main auditorium
They argued a bit, but eventually agreed that I would be fine by myself
I went to into the church auditorium and slowly began my silent prayer walk
When I got to the rear exit of the auditorium, I saw some very beautiful decorations
They were so beautiful and compelling to the point that I felt like touching them
I touched them and several of the carefully arranged flowers fell off
Ha! What sort of trouble is this?
I began to pick them up
A lady came out of nowhere and started helping me to pick them up
I apologised to her and said, "I am willing to pay for the damages, please help me fix this."
She gave me that bombastic side eye
Two other ladies arrived on the scene with brooms in their hands
They began to help pick the flowers and rearrange them
Out of the corner of my eyes, I realised I knew one of them
She was the wife of the pastor who invited me to his church to preach
Ha! Pastor's wife, I screamed
She also recognised me at the same time
Ha! Brother Gbenga, she screamed
What are you doing here with a broom in your hand? I asked
She looked at the other ladies, and they gave us some distance
She said, "I am trusting God for a child, and I made a vow to God that I will keep his house clean until he answers my prayers."
I looked at her intently and said "So you and two other ladies sweep this huge auditorium whenever you have a service?"
She said, "No, sir, they accompany me, but I sweep it all by myself everyday sir. I have been doing this for about six months now."
Wow!
I said, "So how do you get home and give bishop good sex after this sort of manual labour?"
She kept quiet.
I said, "In Jesus name, I relieve you of this vow.
Receive your babies now as a favour from the Lord."
She fell on her knees and shouted Amen.
I signalled the other ladies over and told them that their pastor's wife would no longer be sweeping the church daily.
Their faces lit up.
It must have been daily torture for both of them to watch her labour like that for six months.
The one who gave me a bombastic side eye before, took advantage of the situation and said, "Sir, I am also trusting God to provide me with a husband. I want to be married by this time next year, I am 35 years old sir"
I smiled and said, "For helping me out earlier, whatever you ask of the Lord has been given to you by the power of the Holy Spirit".
She also said Amen.
I prayed for the third lady, too.
The third lady was the Pastor's wife's younger sister. She knelt down so many times, thanking me for setting her and her sister free from the daily labour.
This is the good news I received a year later.
The pastor's wife delivered a set of triplets, the other lady got married and delivered a baby girl, while the pastor's wife's younger sister got married too and delivered a set of twins!
So much good news to share to the Glory of God
PS: I also learnt my lessons about touching decorations when I do my prayer walk.
I now keep my hands to myself.

He said:
One of my uncles is 4 feet, 8inches tall.
He is a mathematics guru and bespectacled.
An accountant by profession.
He married a woman who is 6 feet tall
Together they had seven daughters
One day, in the rain, this man suddenly ran out of his compound with only his trousers on
A few minutes later, his wife emerged with a horse whip
She was chasing him and he wqs running for his dear life
A few days later, family members held a meeting and decided it was wiser to save this man from his marriage than bury him.
Without securing his agreement, the following Sunday, my uncle's siblings went to his rented apartment and packed out his belongings
When his daughters saw that their father was being taken away, they went to pack their clothes too and insisted they will rather leave with their father.
Their mother was not at home when this happened.
When she got back home and met an empty flat.
She went to the husband's office the next day with police officers and was told the husband has proceeded on an emergency leave.
She went to the husband's family house and was told the family has dissolved her marriage.
She asked for her children and she was told they followed their father willingly.
She said she wanted to see her husband and children.
The family said No.
She went to report the case at the police station
The DPO asked the head of the family to produce the man and his children
at the police station the next day by 10am
The next day, the man and his children arrived at the police station
The wife was there too
The man explained that he had suffered serious abuse from the woman since day one of the marriage
The officers laughed and asked him how come he had seven children from an abusive wife
He said he only wantef to have two children
When they had the two and the two turned out to be female, his wife got angry and threatened to kill the girls if he ever stopped having sex with her or use any form of protection.
He said he was sure she would do it, so he complied and stayed in the marriage for the sake of his children.
The children also testified to her abusive nature
They said if their father did not drop money for food, their mother would tske money from her pocket, cook food and eat it all alone while they watched.
She woukd tell them "I bought this food with my money and i am eating it alone. When your father gives me money for your food, you will get something to eat"
The DPO told her to go to court. He invited the family so that they csn have proof of life and they have gotten that.
He has no power to force the man and the children to return to her.
When the man and his children left the police station, his wife secretly followed them to know where they moved to.
The next day, she went to the house with a keg of petrol and set the apartment on fire.
Luckily, the children were in school and her husband had gone to work.
She also broke the wind shield of her husband's car (it was parked at home).
She opened the engine and poured sacks of salt in it.
That same day my uncle and the children left Ondo State.
They left no forwarding address
My uncle got a transfer to another state and started all over there
His wife returned to Abeokuta where she hailed from
Some years went by
My uncle got married to a nurse
The children completed their secondary and university education
They began to get married
Some of them travelled abroad and began to have children
Could you believe these girls sent for their mother to come and help them nurse their babies when they gave birth?
My uncle raised them all by himself and he has never travelled abroad before
These girls processed visa and bought tickets for their mother to the USA and Canada respectively
My uncle didn't see anything wrong with it but I believe it is very unfair on him that his daughters turned on him this way.
I cannot wrap my mind around it.
Can't they find an alternative?
It feels like rewarding bad behaviour in my opinion...
Thereâs a disturbing trend in modern marriages â countless married people are finding lovers and canât seem to stop.
The emotional fallout and divorces keep piling up. The numbers are pretty evenly split between men and women. Letâs be clear: weâre long past the days when only men strayed while women stayed faithful. Thatâs the reality of infidelity today â when women decide to cheat, they often go all in.
When it comes to cheaters, regardless of gender, they generally fall into two categories. First, you have those who pretend to be devoted to their marriage while secretly juggling multiple relationships behind closed doors. These cheaters know damn well theyâre betraying their partners. They know what theyâre doing is messed up, but theyâre hooked. Theyâll always find some excuse to convince themselves itâs âjust one last timeâ with their lover â which means thereâs always a next time. Why? Because theyâve become addicted to the thrill of secret encounters, to that special rush they canât get at home. Without some serious wake-up call, these cheaters rarely stop on their own.
Then thereâs the second type â those who were never satisfied to begin with. Theyâre the ones who constantly pick fights, find flaws in everything their partner does, and canât help comparing their spouse to other people. They love showing off their charm to anyone whoâll pay attention. But despite all their complaints about marriage, these cheaters still feel the same guilt. They still know theyâre betraying their partner. The difference? They just canât bear to let go of their lover.
These two types represent different styles of cheating â the covert and the overt. I call them flexible affairs and rigid affairs. The flexible cheater gets their thrill from secrecy. Since they havenât been caught yet, they develop this âIâm getting away with itâ mentality that only grows stronger over time! The rigid cheater plays a completely different game â they get more defiant when challenged, often driven by revenge. Eventually, they stop caring if they get caught because theyâve already prepared themselves for the showdown.
Of course, there are also hybrid cheaters who mix both styles â flexible when it serves them, rigid when they need to be. But this type is pretty rare, usually limited to high-level manipulators. The truth is, no matter what kind of affair it is, deep down, cheaters feel ashamed of their actions. Nobody can sleep with someone behind their partnerâs back without some sense of loss.
So why do people keep cheating when they know it will devastate their partner? It basically comes down to three reasons:
First: Exploration
The urge to explore affairs is just human nature â a basic instinct. Most people have zero resistance when someone attractive comes onto them strong. Women used to be more reserved, but many have lost that restraint. The concept of virginity used to mean something significant, but now itâs rarely discussed. Bottom line: itâs just easier to start an affair these days.
Second: Shifting Social Norms
Subtle changes in social attitudes have messed with many peopleâs moral compass. Add to that endless media glorification of infidelity, and marriageâs moral hold keeps weakening. Meanwhile, human desires keep expanding as the economy grows! When moral standards fall and desires rise, you get this competitive atmosphere where more people think affairs are no big deal.
Third: The Gamble
More people are betting they can get away with cheating forever. This thinking comes from the simple fact that society doesnât punish infidelity like it used to. To put it bluntly: cheaters rarely face consequences that match their betrayal. The cost of cheating keeps dropping while the promises from lovers keep getting sweeter.
Thatâs why divorce rates keep climbing. Thatâs why love has become about pleasure while marriage has lost its sense of commitment. Thatâs why people start cheating knowing itâs wrong, but once they fall for their lover, theyâve pretty much lost their moral compass completely. The marriage rarely survives after that.
So hereâs the bottom line: no matter how good or bad your marriage is, donât play the affair game unless youâre ready to end your marriage. Because once you cross that line, you might not be able to come back.
She:
I behaved as expected of me in my parents' house
I never had a chance to misbehave
My father was a Bishop and my mother was a Reverend
I had too much fear instilled in me
Even though I fantasized about a lot of things, I dare not act on them
I was like this until I met my husband
In a way, he was my parents' choice
I didn't mean it, as they chose him for me
I met him and brought him home to them, but I knew he was the one my parents would approve of
So he was really their choice
My husband deflowered me
Not on my wedding night, in fact, it was about three years before he proposed
We pretended to the whole church and both families that we were keeping ourselves until the wedding day
We were watched by everybody while we were courting
but we found several ways to be together
Is that not like a form of cheating?
I say this because my husband likes to say a lot of things about me, but I don't think he is so different...
Anyway, let me go on
I took other lovers while I was engaged to my husband
It was my only way of expressing my freedom from a religious black site
I didn't do it to spite my boyfriend (Now my husband)
I did it for me
I dress very conservatively and try not to provoke sexual exchange with men, but if any man I respect or admire had the guts to ask me to meet him somewhere so that we could have sex in secret, I am down for it.
Sometimes months go by without anyone asking, and sometimes in a week, three men would ask
Secrets make me feel very powerful, I mean, I know the things I am capable of and the calibre of people I am able to attract
Some of these men were very generous to me
I never asked a man for a cent before in my life, but I have gotten huge financial gifts and favours from the kind of men I rolled with
I didn't swim in shallow ponds
Let me say categorically that my husband is not a saint in all these
His challenge is the kind of women he attracted
While I was attracting men of means, the ladies who flocked to him were the ones who only had nude pictures to offer
How is that my fault?
He was too broke to sleep with any of them, not that he didn't want to, but if he did, how would he compensate them?
I shared that for the sake of context
I gave him my virginity on my twenty-first birthday
He was twenty-nine years old at the time, and the best he could give me was a handbag
On that same day, one of my other admirers gave me two hundred and one thousand naira
Another gave me an iPhone 6s Plus
He was the poorest of my admirers, but he was single, and he was the one who fitted into the mould my parents approved of without any drama
We got married, and I expected men would naturally leave me be
They didn't
I wasn't flirting with men or signalling to them in any way that I was available
They just kept coming
Even when I told some of them that I was married
They just laughed it off
So how is this my fault?
I tried changing my dressing and keeping to myself
I changed jobs and at a point, resigned to start my own business
Do you ever get a sense of what will be, will be?
I mean, why fight what has been written?
So yeah, I started sleeping with some of them
It was not a long thing or a feeling thing
You know how you read that women don't sleep with someone they don't have feelings for?
That is a lie
A woman can sleep with anyone at any time if she wants to, just like men do
The society is full of all these constructs that makes no sense
If you feel desired by a man, you can either match his desire or shut it down
It is that simple.
Anyway, my husband discovered by playing James Bond that I had been involved in relationships outside of our marriage
Mind you, this was a struggling man who, till now, could barely boast of having one million Naira in savings
We have been married for seventeen years, and this arrangement has worked perfectly for our union
He cannot meet my needs or the needs of the family without my support, but he wants exclusivity of relationship
I want a baby girl's life, but he cannot give me that
I compensate myself or console myself by stepping out of the marriage once in a while
I never disrespect him or flaunt any man in his face
I kept my secrets to myself
I do not deny him sex at anytime even though he is not very good at having sex
He is saying he wants to do a DNA test for our four children
He wants to call a family meeting to discuss my infidelity
He wants to raise dust and howl at the moon
Suddenly, he is the victim, and I am the devil
Was I supposed to be trapped in his mediocre vision?
Was this not the length and breadth of the life he is offering me?
What is so special about his life at 50 that he thinks he has a right to demand faithfulness and loyalty?
I am forty-two, I have two houses to my name, while we still live in a rented apartment
Why rock this boat?
I am writing to you, sir, so that you can talk to him
He is a narcissist who thinks a wedding ring has given him the right to control my life and treat me like a child
The arrangement we have on the ground works perfectly for both of us
We are raising our children in a home we built
He gets to call himself husband, and I get to call myself wife
He has unhindered access to my body anytime he so desires
If he wants to take a lover, I wouldn't object
I know he would have taken one if he could afford it, and maybe he had even taken one in the past, which I do not know
Why disrupt this arrangement?
Why play to the gallery?
If we part ways now, what does he have to gain?
He needs to think things through
I am not begging to stay married to him
I am carrying him as a cross, just as I know he believes he is carrying me as a cross
We should both carry that cross till our old age, in my opinion
If he decides to do all these things, he is threatening me with
I will take the children. strip him of all the support he has enjoyed as a result of being married to him
He will have to live within his means, and I assure you
The kind of woman he would attract on his salary and the kind of life he would offer such a woman at his age would be pathetic
Please advise him to act wisely.
Thank you for your time, sir.

Why People Cheat XV
When a woman cheats once, she rarely goes back. Each time becomes easier, and eventually she falls in love with her affair partner.
When a man cheats, he comes into conflict between desire and duty, and this leads to deception and betrayal of his wife in order to please his affair partner
Second, an affair partner is almost never better than the main partner (He might be richer or she may be more beautiful, but that does not make him or her better) â in fact, they often have what youâd call an âunappealingâ quality. This is just a basic reality.
If anyone in this situation is foolish, itâs the faithful partner. He or she has become too permissive, and in doing so, he or she has lost control of the marriage.
Donât think that because you are busy providing and building or working, your partner wonât betray you.
He or She cheats because she believes youâll always be hers, while the affair gives him or her the âextra attentionâ he or she is riding on for the moment
Iâve noticed something else: when a partner suggests that the other partner should cheat too, itâs basically a death sentence for your marriage.
It proves that he or she is no longer invested in the marriage.
Why People Cheat XIV
Sarah once had an affair and nearly divorced her husband because she fell back in love with her high school sweetheart and even pushed her husband to his knees begging.
I âscoldedâ her back into her marriage â though really, most of the credit goes to her husband, who chose to forget and forgive her.
Sarah says: âWomen donât cheat because theyâre in love â itâs mostly about loneliness and isolation.
I was at home with the kids while my husband was busy building his business, and I felt incredibly alone.
You know how it is â women go through this empty period after having kids, plus my husband was never around. I started chatting more with my ex-boyfriend, and he was still as charming as ever, checking in on me every day.
That warmth I hadnât felt in so long came rushing back â at first just warmth, not love.
âOne day he offered to pick me up for a movie, and I was touched. I left the kids with their grandmother and spent the day with him, rediscovering that carefree feeling from our youth. That night, I lied to my mother-in-law, saying I was staying at a friendâs house, and spent the night with him at a hotel.
After that, I felt like I was falling in love with him again. I believed his promises, I believed he could make me happy â I believed everything he told me.
âMaybe cheating isnât really a womanâs intention â itâs those uncontrollable feelings that take over, and before you know it, youâve crossed the line.
Of course, my husband not being around much was part of it. I felt lonely and needed something to fill that void, and he happened to be the right person at the right time.
âI believe most women who cheat donât actually want to divorce â they just want to experience that romance and excitement. But later, real feelings develop, and they canât control themselves anymore.
We women are picky about love. Once we fall for someone new, we tend to forget our old love â even if heâs our husband.
âThe reasons for cheating are as complicated as love itself. Maybe the only words to explain it are âselfishness,â âcircumstance,â or âtemporary insanity.â Once a woman becomes dependent on that âdifferent kind of connection,â thereâs no room left in her heart for her husband.â
A man on the other hand could cheat and still retain his love for his wife (I have seen and read a lot about this) but that is not how it works for women.
This is why women fall out of love with their husbands once they start cheating. They may stay with him for the sake of the kids, provision, money, status or fear but the love is gone and if they have the power to leave they would gladly do so.
Moving Forward: Can People Stop Cheating?
Understanding why people cheat is simply the first step.
Change is feasible when people are willing to self-reflect and take responsibility for their conduct.
Cheating is often a symptom of deeper troubles that need to be addressed.
Why People Cheat XIII
Sometimes, people cheat because the culture around them enables or excuses cheating behavior.
In some circles, it is almost expected or even a status symbol for men or women to have multiple partners. This can be in the form of âboys will be boysâ or "baddie" mentality or the idea that men need to prove their masculinity and the ladies need to prove their ability to control men through sexual conquests.
In locker room talk or peer groups where infidelity is normalized, such partners may begin internalizing the idea that itâs natural or expected
In these cases, social pressure may push partners to cheat, or they may not see the behavior as wrong.
Why People Cheat XI
Technology has created an easy way for people to cheat. People meet on apps or sites designed to facilitate affairs or hookups. People spend a significant amount of time on social media, and there are opportunities to connect with individuals they would never have met otherwise.
Sometimes, the temptation is just there.
In the past, opportunities were more limited. Now it is everywhere.
Why People Cheat X
Lack of sexual chemistry is a huge reason people cheat. Often, the person who cheats will say they felt like a friend, roommate, or business partner rather than a lover in their relationship. They want to feel wanted and desired sexually.
They also want to experience variety and novelty in sex. Sometimes, they are seeking that in an affair.
The problem with this is that sex outside of the relationship is often shrouded in secrecy, shame, and guilt. This can damage the relationship in multiple ways.
