Carry of the Day 7/7/26. The USA made Benchmade Mini Taggedout in CPM-154. This is a Stock knife but not for long! I have Carbon scales coming from Australia from my friend Alfred at VotixEDC. I also have the Green G10 Version and scales coming for both. Happy Tuesday All!

Carry of the day 6/13/26. The USA made Benchmade Mini Bugout. I call this one the Ugly Bugling. For those of us who lose our keys 3 times a day here is an option to find your knife in the dark. If someone knows where the batteries go in this thing let me know. Happy Saturday all

Carry of the Day 6/8/26. The Buck Toothpick. Tiny but mighty little guy. This design has been carried since the late 19th century. Great for whittling, letter opening, daily EDC needs and frequently used make a new hole in your belt during the harder times. Happy Monday all!

Carry of the day 6/4/26. The USA made Buck 112 Slim. A new offering from Buck for those who love the classic knife your grandfather carried but wanted a more modern pocket friendly design. I have more nostalgic memories of this blade shape than any other. Happy Thursday all!

Carry of the day 6/3/26 The original Civivi Elementum Button Lock. A Unique knife in that it locks in the open and closed position. Safe one in the pocket. Custom Flytanium Titanium Scales. 14C28N Drop point blade. One of the knives that started in the hobby. Happy Wednesday!

Carry of the Day 5/28/26. The USA Hogue Deka with a Magnacut, Black Cerakote clip point blade. VotixEDC aftermarket Carbon scales. Very nice EDC. Have a couple versions of this knife. One is at the Dr getting a custom back spacer designed I’ll show soon. Happy Thursday all!

Carry of the Day 5/27/26. The USA Built Kershaw Bel Air with a Clip Point Magnacut Stonewashed Blade. I ordered Carbon Scales from VotixEDC in Australia. He makes the highest quality aftermarket scales I have ever seen. I have several more coming from him. Happy Wednesday all!!

Lots of passionate posts from younger people claiming that “boomers” and the elderly in general somehow had it easier than the average young adults today. Here are a few facts from my life that some may find amusing. I slept in a unfinished, stereotypical old fashioned attic from the age of 8 to 18. One hanging light bulb with a switch at the bottom of the staircase. No heat and the entire two story house was without air conditioning. The attic had a window at each end, one of which gave me access to the nearly flat porch roof where I often slept to find relief from the oppressive heat, despite the risk of rolling off in my sleep. We had one t.v with three channels, ABC, CBS, NBC, courtesy of an antenna on the roof above my attic sanctuary. Around 1981 when I was a high school freshman we got cable. A analog box with 30 channels and it was life changing in how we spent our free time. We ate “out” perhaps 3 times a year and it was McDs or Burger Chef and the free toy was a treasure. One pair of cheap sneakers, $12 Converse’s for the new school year. Maybe a pair of wrangler jeans. We got underwear and socks as Christmas gifts. One hardline phone and long distance calls were strictly forbidden so you had to date locally or write letters longhand in cursive. 80 kids in my graduating class and probably 5 owned a car. We walked more in a week of summer than most people today walk all year. I could go on forever but I think I made my point clear. Everything changed at lightening speed and it wasn’t all for the better. That’s my kid brother in the overalls. About 15 years after this pic was taken he was tried and sentenced to life in prison for murder. I’m in the stripes and 30 years after the pic was taken I made my first million after completing my military service. 2 boys from one attic and 2 drastically different outcomes. Life is what you make it. Stop complaining and get to work.

Carry of the day 5/15/26. The USA made Kershaw Livewire OTF Dual Action Auto. Tanto Magnacut Super Steel Blade. OMG smooth actuation. Had decided I didn’t like OTF’s until I grabbed this knife. Being a Kershaw, I should’a known it would be the one to have. Happy Friday all!!

Carry of the day 5/14/26. The USA made Hogue Deka in CPM Magnacut. Custom Aluminum milled Scales from Original Goat. I have the floating back spacer arriving today so I thought I’d carry it. One of the best values in modern knives to get into a Magnacut blade. Happy Thursday all

Carry of the day 5/12/26. The Benchmade Bugout. This one I have probably shown before but Brazilian Rosewood is just so pretty. Classic lines of the Bugout fits well with the natural materials. This one Runs on bearing as the wood specs varies with the humidity. Happy Tuesday!!
