The Law demands perfection. What flesh alone could never satisfy was fulfilled by Jesus Christ. All flesh returns to dust & creation passes away. But His sheep follow Him in spirit, patiently awaiting release of our souls unto eternal reunion with the Christ we adore. ๐
@BillArnoldTeach "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith."
"we have been justified through faith"
"know that a man is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ."
"no one is justified before God by the law, because 'The righteous will live by faith.'"
@AngAesthetics@MattMBarrett@CredoMagazine I deny that it's anything other than remembrance of the sacrafice of the flesh and blood of Christ. It is not a thing that justifies or inherently changes in substance, nor does it change the nature or substance of the person partaking.
@BillArnoldTeach Faith through love? Belief through love? Love is evidence of faith, not the cause of it. And all elements of salvation are gifts as Paul explicitly teaches in Romans 8.
@CredoMagazine@DrGRMcDermott@MattMBarrett But not the same as a priest from the old testament, of course. The Tanakh or kohen performed a duty that is fulfilled now by Christ alone.
@AngAesthetics@MattMBarrett@CredoMagazine The context provided by the Old Testament is missing. The etymology is fine, but the tanakh or kohen or priest of the Old Testament followed sacrificial procedures that are now fulfilled by Christ. They are in no way fulfilled by man today.
@BillArnoldTeach@Truth_matters20 Are you unaware of the Hebrew Old Testament that preceeded Pentecost? Or the various manuscripts that existed prior to the Septuagint? And no one claimed that Pentecost gave us the Bible. You do this often: you change the subject and provide red herrings. No offense.
@BillArnoldTeach Idolatry is worship. Like exalting someone to a level of sinless divinity wherein she physically exists next to a physical throne interceding to Christ on behalf of mankind.

@CatholicDrip___@JoeyCaruso3 The Vatican doesn't even give you assurance. All you can do is follow the prescriptions of your worldly leaders and hope for a short start in Purgatory.
