"We democratized animation" by using a giant studio with several employees, thousand dollar equipment, stolen art, and you ended up with something that, in my book, isn't even animation. Just a filter. You want to animate? Then animate.
This shit? That Corridordigital is doing? Is not about that at all. Art is and always has been democratized. Anyone can do it. The first several years I made animations with a mouse and no drawing tablet.
Anyone can do it. They don't need to steal art to do it.
When I got into animation at age 12 it was because of people like Edd Gould and Arin Hanson. When I learned that normal people who sit in their bedroom can create cartoons, and you don't have to work in a giant studio, I learned that anyone can do it. (1/?)
@CorridorDigital I respected you guys a lot, but I'll be real.. Judging by the industry professionals in the replies, you're going to need a first aid kit for the Animators React of this.
like yeah you can quickly & efficiently make an exciting anime action sequence using this tech… and several thousand dollars of high-end camera equipment
Police in Virginia shot and killed a man for allegedly stealing a pair of sunglasses from Nordstrom. Police chased Timothy McCree Johnson, 37, into the woods where they opened fire and shot him in the chest.
They killed a man over a pair of sunglasses.
@tommgran i think in barney’s case specifically i kind of takes away from the design. you’ve got a character with one big chunk of tooth and choosing to separate (only partially at that) distracts from the design as a whole.
