New episode with Dr. Steve Horvath (@prof_horvath), a pioneer in the field of epigenetic aging clocks.
Steve developed the original Horvath clock, one of the first tools to show that DNA methylation carries a remarkably reliable signal of aging across human tissues.
In this episode, he explains what biological clocks actually measure, why different clocks can disagree, and how to interpret a biological-age result without treating it like a literal lifespan forecast.
We talk about chronological age vs. biological age, and we also get into the intervention evidence on exercise and VO2 max, calorie restriction, omega-3s, vitamin D, multivitamins, and weight loss/GLP-1 therapy, among other topics!
The big theme is that biological clocks can be useful dashboards, but they are not diagnoses, fortune-telling tools, or proof that one supplement has reversed aging. This was Steve's second appearance on the podcast and he did not disappoint. You won't want to miss this episode.

QNX is already inside a large installed base, and that gives the company something more concrete than the usual AI pitch about software that might someday arrive. Still, the market has not been willing to price BlackBerry as a physical AI play. $BB

I had no idea thistle was edible until this video stopped me in my tracks.
Thistles have completely taken over my property for years — I’ve spent more weekends than I can count hacking them down, cursing every prickly inch, and dumping weed killer like they were the enemy.
Then I watched her walk straight into the field, slice a stalk with zero hesitation, peel back the armor, and bite right into the sweet inner core like it’s something she’s done her whole life.
Now I’m staring at the “weeds” in my yard completely differently. Have I been fighting a free wild-food buffet this entire time… or is this one of those things smarter people leave to the pros?
Who here has actually tried eating thistle straight from the field? Drop your stories (and any warnings) below — I might grab a knife tomorrow 🌱🔪

Remember I said back in 2023 that QNX would be HUGE for the company? Mark-ups awaiting.
