How is this person even employed by the @MinnCorrections ?
This guy his criminal record is longer than the records of at least 60% of the Man/Woman in the Minnesota correctional system
One thing that makes no sense to me....
Carving out violent crimes and sex crimes from reentry programs and supports
Is the argument that we want people who committed violent or sexual crimes to come back more desperate and less ready to reintegrate back into society?
I know this article has a "well, duh" quality to it, but I'm glad to see the issue getting some attention. We rarely see the violence by corrections officers in jails and prisons, but it is pervasive and horrifying.

We are grateful for all of our supporters, especially incarcerated people who have received books and want to help this project grow. We know how much this money means to a person inside, and we're humbled that this donor chose to support us in this way.
People should never be incarcerated for technical violations of supervision or registration UNLESS law enforcement can PROVE those violations were related to a new crime
These should NEVER be strict liability concerns, liberty should not be suspended for bureaucratic reasons
Tomorrow a man who has spent more than 15 yrs in a cage goes to board. He has 2 college degrees, countless programs, & most important he’s an amazing. person. Please send positive vibes the parole board sees the man he is today. One who has done the work & sets him free.
One more time....
The MOST IMPORTANT issue on the criminal justice reform agenda?
COVID vaccinations in prisons and jails
....thousands have died at a rate 3X the rate in the general population....infected at 7X the rate...and NOBODY was sentenced to die from COVID
Alabama DOC is punishing #WillieSmith with an execution date because he didn't respond within 30 days whether he wanted to be gassed to death or lethal injection.....
Did you all know that SECURUS is lobbying prisons and jails to shut down actual visits so they can make more money off video visits?
I didn’t either, but somehow it doesn’t surprise me a bit coming from these greedy selfish clowns 🤡
"This is gonna be the year I come home," My friend told me at my cell door. Hes been in prison for 35 years now. He doesn't know if he will ever be released. But to hope is to live. 2021 is the year to be hopeful.
Prisoners not high on most people’s agendas but i am very concerned. Lot of pressure to ‘maintain regimes’ but prisoners do not have autonomy to manage their own risks. Staff will bring the new strain in and if prisoners mixing in confined conditions there may be a heavy toll
He applied for conditional medical release in the beginning of this pandemic... HE GOT DENIED. 45 days ago he reapplied and it was going to be a expedited application... this morning he passed away after serving 29 years in your facility.
