Sea Shepherd Global’s Shame and Disgrace in Supporting Genocide in Gaza

In September Peter Hammawrstedt be doing his annual fund raising tour of Australia to solicit funds for the organization he hi-jacked and has compromised with his collaboration with the Austral Fishery Company, Allianz Insurance and most disgraceful of all – the Israeli security firm Yamasec and Sea Shepherd Global’s hiring of IDF reservists to manage campaigns.

Sea Shepherd Global and Peter Hammarstedt have Refused to Condemn their Partnership with Yamasec, the IDF and Sea Shepherd Israel.

The 3 current directors of Sea Shepherd Global must stop associating the name of Sea Shepherd to the promotion of war and killing of civilians.

Sea Shepherd Founder Captain Paul Watson is demanding that Sea Shepherd Global publicly condemns Mr. Bar Faran the former official representative of Sea Shepherd Israel. Captain Watson is also demanding that Sea Shepherd Global disassociate the organization from the Israeli security firm Yamasec. As we have proven through tax return documents, Sea Shepherd Global pays Yamasec hundreds of thousands of Euros every year to provide security and to provide onboard military weapons training to west African Navy soldiers. This is not and has never been the purpose of an NGO to pay for military services for governments among which some are known to be heavily corrupted.

The founder of the Sea Shepherd movement says the name Sea Shepherd, through the decisions made by the three directors of sea Shepherd Global, and Peter Hammarstedt in particular, should not in any way be associated to the government of Netanyahu.

Sea Shepherd Global Director Peter Hammarstedt has never hidden his personal political views on this long-lasting conflict. Everyone is entitled to his opinion, but he has crossed the line when he has decided to hire a very controversial Israeli military firm highly paid with donation money with the agreement of the 3 other directors of Sea Shepherd and without informing Lamya Essemlali or Paul Watson and of course without their approval.

Sea Shepherd France has been fighting in Court in Amsterdam to obtain the documents that would allow Sea Shepherd France to fully shed light on how much donation money the four directors of Global have been spending on this quasi-military firm. The Court in Amsterdam ruled in Paul Watson and Lamya Essemlali's favor stating that both had been illegally dismissed by the four directors. But it didn't give them access to the documents they were entitled to get as directors. They are currently appealing the decision.

Mr. Bar Faran, a member of IDF presented while as the representative of Sea Shepherd in Israel made political statements that advocated the blocking of humanitarian aid to the bombarded civilians of Gaza and the kicking out from their homes of hundreds of thousands people. "Create fear" is his proclaimed strategy. (See his post below)

The Sea Shepherd movement promotes peace and condemns the killing of civilians, children in particular. ALL civilians, ALL children. The Sea Shepherd movement does not promote fear, it promotes the respect of life. All lives.

The directors of Sea Shepherd Global (Peter Hammarstedt, Jeff Hansen, Geert Vons and Alex Cornelissen)have never publicly disassociated from this man who was representing Sea Shepherd in Israel, while promoting war, the killing of civilians and the ban on humanitarian aid. They have never explained their collaboration with the Israeli quasi-military firm Yamasec and have refused to be transparent about the level of funds originating from donations that have been paid to that firm. They owe this transparency to their donors and supporters. The Sea Shepherd name does not belong to these four men. What they are doing is a disgrace to a movement they have stolen.

I want to present what I think needs to be done to realize the great spirit of the Victory Generation on the battlefield:
