A young monk complained to his spiritual elder, “Father, I cannot endure the lust any longer. I must sin.” 

To which the elder replied, “All right, my child, let us take one coin and go.” 

The two monks went to a brothel in a nearby town. The elder monk said, “Wait here, I shall be first.” 
He approached a prostitute and said, “Here, take this coin. Soon a young monk will come in after me; do what I tell you and refuse him.” 

The prostitute agreed. When the elder came out of the room, he told the young monk, “Now you go.” 

The young monk came before the prostitute, and before anything could happen, she said, “Wait, there are rules even here. We must both do 50 prostrations first, and then only may we proceed.” 

Both the young monk and the prostitute started prostrating. When they had reached about 20 or 30, the young monk said, “I cannot worship before committing sin,” and he rushed out. 

The elder and the young monk returned to their monastery, and lust was no longer found in him.

When you condemn a fallen man, you condemn God Himself. If you see a robber, a prostitute, or a drunkard lying in the street, do not judge them, for the Lord has allowed their passions. Perhaps this is how they must find their way to God, so they may humble themselves, see their own weakness, know God, and repent. Are you virtuous?
