I can answer that question for you.
Many people who want separation didn’t sign the petition until they saw the numbers starting to climb, because they knew the government of Canada would use it against them.
We’re not done yet.
They’ve already tried to suppress it and made sure that information was neat and released for those who signed. It’s just like the convoy and everything else, anyone who stands up against this tyrannical government gets squashed. But now with over 300,000 signatures, many are thinking, “Shit, I should sign,” though plenty didn’t out of fear of what this fucking government would do.
