@CraftyMissB 7 tampons a cycle makes no sense even if you had a light flow. Unless it was a very short period and/or you use pads overnight. Because you HAVE to change them every 8 hours as a minimum. We don’t want anyone getting toxic shock.
@Hossylass I feel like the key messages are:
- the modern world is worse for sick and disabled people than when PIP was introduced, due to cuts/inadequacies in many areas;
- PIP underassesses household tasks and utilities;
- PIP underassesses chronic illness;
- PIP and LCW are not the same
@amandasutt21174@Shrink_at_Large Yes because most of the time the DWP are not going to be following PIP claimants. They’ll only do it if there’s high suspicion of fraud.
@Baaa_bara@Shrink_at_Large Maybe they can get up stairs but need the crutches for longer distances? Maybe they struggle with the stairs but can’t afford to move to a suitable property. You literally don’t know. I used to live in a 3 story (shared house). I never went up to the top floor.
@Shrink_at_Large And how does one recover from mental health issues or any health issue if the threat of losing their benefits is always imminent? Because last time I checked that’s bad for both body and brain.
@arleneseesit@THemingford You know Obesity and Depression aren’t going to go away overnight. A person deserves support of PIP for the time they are suffering. A lot of people with depression use it for private therapy to help manage their depression.
Hi @Nigel_Farage@reformparty_uk great you sacked the holocaust denier, now what about
- David Barker, Deptford & Hendon, Sunderland. convicted of ABH against his girlfriend
- Glenn Gibbins, Hylton Castle, Sunderland. said Nigerians should be melted down to fill potholes
Wes Streeting has said sick and disabled people don’t need time off they just need to go to the gym and work themselves to death.
Yes, the Minister for Health has said we need to look after our health less.
Me for @TheCanaryUK https://t.co/VBMClIXCQU
"Hi, I'm self-diagnosed autistic."
"How dare you think you know better than doctors! Only a professional can decide if you're autistic or not!"
"Hi, I'm diagnosed autistic."
"Well, clearly the doctors who diagnosed you are incorrect because I've decided you can't be autistic."
@BBCPolitics Translation: @KemiBadenoch: "You give too much money to people too disabled to work. @Keir_Starmer: "We were going to take it away, but you voted against us" (PIP & UC Bill). There was a time in British politics when cruelty to disabled people wasn't a competitive sport.
"When the bloody chancellor is going around saying young people on benefits are “stain on this country” and the DWP boss calling the growing number of young disabled people not in work or education a “disease”, how are young disabled claimants meant to feel like anything other than a burden?"
Anyone on a pension needs to worry about the Welfare bashing… the fake narratives… it is included in the Welfare numbers being bandied around and I am pretty sure you consider it your right having paid in all those years..
@AngieBeatDown Ice packs! Especially for the worst days of pain which for me was day 3-5. Yogurt, smoothies, milkshakes. You’re not meant to have anything hot for 24-48 hours. Soups, mash potato.
