The majority of accounts on this app are blatant engagement farmers. In spite of this, if youve found your way to my posts, welcome! I use this app to talk shit, sports, and politics. Im not for everybody, but I do my best to argue in good faith in a sea of bad. God bless
@K1LABUSH Winnipeg lost Ehlers for nothing and just watched him win a cup. They will want to recoup a massive haul if Hellebuyck ever goes on the block (doubtful). Meanwhile the Canes barely invested any resources in goaltending and still won due to their defensive structure.
@BadAssYelloBird On the flipside, there probably is merit to them having taken the Memphis deal instead even though the later picks had protections. Imagine being able to get Ja this offseason for 1 of Memphis picks back + salary filler. Or even just holding it and cashing in.
@BadAssYelloBird I didnt say it was. Just saying im not a fan of the Jalen Green contract at all and im glad they didnt take it. Im quite confident since we are already in hypothetical land that the Knicks still win this chip without Mikal even being on their team.
@BadAssYelloBird Joe Harris was coming off of multiple years of phenomenal 3 point shooting efficiency. He had one bad playoffs and then had what turned out to be a career ending ankle injury. His contract was also 4 for 75. I agree with you on Allen. Using Harris is revisionism, imo
@BadAssYelloBird It was never a done deal. The framework was Jalen Green+ for Mikal+. We dont know what the Rockets actually wouldve done. Trades that didnt happen always have the shakiest reporting.
@BadAssYelloBird I agree on Jarrett Allen, but Nets FO didnt want to pay him (mistake), they picked Claxton + DJ over Allen when they should've kept Allen and Clax. The 1st that went for Royce O'Neal ended up being 28th overall and KD liked him. You do that 100 times out of 100.
@BadAssYelloBird Shamet wasnt good in the NBA for like a half a decade until this playoff run for the Knicks. The 4 1st round picks for Mikal from the Grizzlies werent all unprotected. The Mikal to Houston rumors were only ever reported by Begley and it had Jalen Green coming back (no thanks).
@BadAssYelloBird Owners who make emotional, compulsive decisions arent fit to be owners (and probably wouldnt ever consolidate enough wealth to buy a team in the first place). Tsai isnt afraid to make moves, but the often hysterical whims of nets twitter wont be what moves him. Need data
@BrooklynNetcast This front office has only made 1 lottery pick and it was unfortunately at 8 in a draft where the consensus guys were already gone and after that it was guys with warts. Why throw shade at Egor? Ill buy your stock if youre selling it
@patbahn@matthewstoller I think it'd be more Russia and China not wanting to draw attention away from the US military aggression towards their regional partner
