Bismillahi Rahmani Rahiim;
I have arrived in Israel as the first President of the Republic of Somaliland to undertake a State Visit, and I am honoured by the warm welcome extended by my friend, President @Isaac_Herzog
For thirty-five years, the people of Somaliland have built a peaceful, democratic, and resilient nation. We asked the world: Do you see us? Israel answered first. Today marks a historic milestone in our journey and the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between Somaliland and Israel.
To the people of Somaliland: I carry your hopes and aspirations with me. Generations have struggled, sacrificed, and persevered to bring our nation to this moment. We will seize this opportunity with confidence, wisdom, and determination, always guided by the interests of our people and our Republic.
Today, history is being written, and Somaliland stands ready to forge a shared future founded on friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect.

🚨 TRUMP CALLS FOR ILHAN OMAR’S DEPORTATION
‘You have the woman who married her brother’ — Trump on @Ilhan Omar ‘She talks about the Constitution of the United States.
She comes from #Somalia. They don’t have constitutions’ They don't have police. All they have is people running around, shooting at each other. ‘She shouldn’t be protected’ ‘She should be thrown out of the country’" President @realDonaldTrump
As a World Cup host, the U.S. shouldn't be flippantly barring officials from entering the country to do their jobs.
It's terribly backward.
It's also counterproductive.
Global sports competitions should improve international exchange and relations, not the reverse.
Award-winning Somali referee Omar Artan, set to be the first from his country to officiate at the World Cup, was denied entry to the United States, a sports ministry official told AFP on Monday https://t.co/jzrjXtHfNY
BREAKING: Former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has agreed to leave the Mirinaayo area in Abdiaziz following talks with clan elders aimed at easing tensions in Mogadishu.
For more than 20 hours, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has directed a sustained and indiscriminate military assault with the apparent objective of killing me, former President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, dozens of respected traditional elders, and other political leaders in Mogadishu.
Heavy weaponry more commonly associated with conventional battlefield operations than densely populated urban areas, including anti-tank weapons, drones, and other military assets, has been deployed against us.
Civilian infrastructure has not been spared. Electricity supplies serving thousands of innocent civilians have been deliberately disrupted, further endangering lives and livelihoods. This conduct constitutes a war crime under international law.
These are weapons entrusted to the Somali state to fight Al-Shabaab, now turned against Somalia’s own leaders and citizens in an unprecedented campaign of political repression and targeted killing.
We will defend ourselves, our communities, and our constitutional rights.
I call upon all military, police, and security commanders to uphold their constitutional oath and refuse unlawful orders. Your duty is to the Constitution and the Somali people, not to the political interests of any individual.
Every unlawful order given and carried out will be documented. All those who commit criminal acts and war crimes will be held personally accountable.
I urge Somalia’s international partners to act immediately.
The just issued US Govt report on "Potential Areas for Improved United States Engagement with Somaliland"
to meet a Congressional mandate is an embarrassment! Pure bureaucratic blah blah that says nothing because writers are afraid to upset Mogadishu. Sad!

#LATEST: In a statement on Facebook, former PM @HassanAKhaire accuses Villa Somalia of launching an attack against forces loyal to him at his home in #Hawlwadaag as he was in a meeting with the Ugas of Murusade & other clan elders.
Similarly, former President @HESharifShAhmed has condemned the events.
It eerily sounds & looks very similar to comments by Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in 2021 ⤵️

#UAE to Formally Recognize #Somaliland “Sooner or Later,” Former Emirati Official Says.
The #UnitedArabEmirates will formally recognize Somaliland in the near future, making it the second country to recognize the republic of Somaliland, a former Emirati official told Senior #MiddleEast Correspondent Ariel Oseran.
Speaking in an interview with I24News, His Excellency Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi, a former Emirati lawmaker and head of a leading UAE strategic advisory firm, said the UAE maintains a strong relationship with Somaliland and suggested that recognition would follow if current developments continue.
“We have a good relationship with Somaliland. If things continue on the right track, we will recognize Somaliland. This will happen sooner or later. We should reward the good guys, rather than Al-Shabab and its likes,” Al Falasi said.
The statement comes as Somaliland continues to seek greater diplomatic engagement and international validation of its independence.
