Magnolia soulangeana bringing grace and pink delight to the edges of the park. Take a walk and see if you can identify all of the magnolia varieties - there are many! #freewayparkseattle#loveparks https://t.co/wJvWSfb8Bx
Head out to Freeway Park this afternoon to give Field Guides a listen! These beautiful audio guides weave music, sound, and spoken word to create a new experience of walking through the park.
These little pigeons are enjoying the Canyon Fountain being on! Parks Department crews have turned it on periodically for testing over the last week. They've been working hard to get all of the fountains in Freeway Park up and running for the summer. Thank you @seattleparksandrec

A sunny Earth Day is the perfect day for a Gardening Party! This Thursday, we'll spend the morning weeding on Pigott Corridor. Meet in the 8th Ave underpass at 10 am and will be out weeding until noon. Join us for 5 minutes or the whole time!
Not all of our favorite spring pops of color in the park come from flowers. This Japanese Maple's new pink leaves are such a joy to see! #lovefreewaypark
This plant, Japanese pieris, is native to Japanese mountain thickets. It seems appropriate that this shrub is tucked in the 'mountians' surrounding Canyon Fountain. #lovefreewaypark
It's another beautiful spring day in Freeway Park! That means it's time for another hint for where you can find a tiny hand. This little red hand is hidden in one of our star magnolia trees, tucked in the branches but still in reach from the ground.
