@DanBilzerian Every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud, adopts as a last resource pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and happy to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority."
- Schopenhauer
@DrNeilStone He should have said unnatural death, then it would be correct.
If tracked independently as a standalone category, iatrogenic death would rank as the absolute leading cause of unnatural death, far surpassing motor vehicle accidents and drug overdoses.
@SIUChasmite@PAHoyeck He is quoted in the 1st line in one of my books.
I aspire to achieve his level of recognition, kept in the phenomenological register

@undercoverunity@MoHh1959327@GroyperClip Precisely, and technically, the only true freedom is the ability to control the focus of your attention. Everything else is downstream of that
Speaking like this, I'd bed with 100% certainty you've never been to Israel. 20% of Israel is Arab, and they have the same freedom as anyone in Israel. In fact, the country in the middle east where Arab's enjoy the most freedom is Israel. There are millions of proud Arab Israeli citizens.
America didn’t invent Jews in 1948. Jewish continuity survived empires, expulsions, forced conversions, pogroms, and genocide attempts for ~3,000 years often without a state, army, or superpower backing. WWII was nearly catastrophic, yes. But saying “the reason you exist is America” is short-sided & ignores most of Jewish history.
Part of that history is that Jews often refused assimilation into dominant imperial or ideological systems, whether ancient empires demanding religious conformity, forced conversions, or regimes hostile to minority identity. That resistance to coercion and insistence on maintaining a distinct tradition is also part of why persecution has recurred across centuries.
